The Mobians were all gathered on the Starbird looking at starcharts. They could hardly believe that their home was gone. Taken from them by the Empire. They waited patiently for Ezra and Sabine to exit the cockpit to tell them what they were going to do since they already made their intentions to leave the Rebellion clear.
Inside the cockpit, Ezra and Sabine were huddled in small conversation.
"Your sure about the Emerald actually did that?" Sabine asked
"Yes," he replied, "somehow, the Chaos Emerald has taken away my ability to use the Force."
"What about them?" She then asked, "They're undoubtedly shaken from losing their home, so what do we do with them?"
A few minutes later, they were in the bay with the Mobians, who were all in quiet conversation with each other. A couple minutes later, they took notice and the room quieted down.
"So," Shadow asked, "are we all being transferred to Hera and the Ghost then?"
"You'll be staying with us," Sabine answered, "We will help you get Mobius back."
Although the room was already quiet as it was, everyone really was speechless. Ezra and Sabine were willing to stay with the Rebellion to help take back their home.
"You guys don't have to do this," Sonic said, "You guys shouldn't give up what you want just to help us out."
"We want to help you guys out," Ezra said, "and the best way we can help you is getting you guys Mobius back."
Everyone grinned and nodded, accepting their help. Now all they needed was a plan.
Elsewhere
Eggman and Thrawn overlooked the smoking plain that was a recent sight of a battle. Troopers of both factions lay dead everywhere, walkers lay destroyed, and the Empire lost a large contingent of TIE Maulers. Thrawn was over the failure to kill Ezra, but he was still bugged by something.
"Robotnik," he said to Eggman, "why did you fail to mention the enormously powerful states of certain Mobians?"
"I honestly didn't think that they would last as long as they did," he said, "as far as I know, they've barely seen any real combat. This was probably their first taste of real war."
"Hm. Unless there is a way to prevent them from achieving their indestructible, unstoppable forms, then we will not be able to hold this planet."
"I believe there is a way. On a floating island not that far away sits the Master Emerald. It controls the seven Chaos Emeralds, and can even shut them down."
Thrawn grinned with malice at hearing that.
"Although," Eggman continued, "I've never been able to actually steal it from its now missing guardian, and even if I did, only he knows how to deactivate the emeralds."
"Leave it to me, Admiral Robotnik," Thrawn said, "I will solve the mystery of this planet, and when the Rebels return, we shall be ready for them."
Thrawn walked toward a transport and ordered the pilot to take him to the floating island. Once they arrived, Thrawn made his way toward a path that he could only deduce lead to the emerald. His deduction was right as it lead him to ruins with a shrine in the center. He looked at the ruins and saw some inscriptions that told the story of the guardians of the emerald. It was written in a combination of two languages he could very easily read: aurebesh and sy bisti. He walked to the shrine and looked at the Master Emerald.
"Make no mistake," he said to it, "I will have your secrets, I will control you. Then... then I will kill Ezra Bridger."
