I was so curious about what Maira wanted to tell me that I was in the bridge half an hour before the time we accorded, I left my car into the parking lot and then I headed to the bridge, I walked by the little plaza, the food court and at the very end, was the bridge I knew it was the correct one because it was the only bridge in all the city since the one that connected with the other side of the city have been destroyed.

I was in the middle of the bridge waiting for Maira, the night was darker than normal, and the breeze was blowing hard, maybe it has to do with the water or something, but still, it was a little bit scary, I glanced at the water under me, the strong sound of the water and its force were almost shaking the bridge, I start at it for a while, for a moment I think there is a shadow reflected on it, but that is impossible, I can't even see my own shadow.

it is 9:40 already and I have no clue where Maira can be, I'm starting to worry about her, usually she arrives on time everywhere she has to go, maybe she just fell asleep.

15 minutes before

I can't believe I'm doing this right now

I can't even think a way to say this to him, worse, I can't even think about his reaction, would he think I'm crazy or call the police...

but I know that I can't hide this from him anymore.

While I'm driving to the bridge I think in what I'm going to say... but there is a blank in my mind, I just can't say it, and at the same time, I can't hide it anymore, Its time.

I arrive at the parking lot and immediately I recognize his car, he is here, I got out the car and start walking in the direction of the bridge, when suddenly, I felt like someone was following me, I started sweating and freaking out, it is obvious that I can not talk to Dani like this, so I stopped in the middle of the little plaza and found a restaurant with a bathroom, I run into it ignoring the big line, the person that was there leaves the bathroom and I go in, some people shout and knock the door, but I ignore them, all In that I can think right now is in the presence that I feel behind me, I know is not a person

I felt it before, in my dreams.

Whatever the invisible stalker is supposed to be, it is getting closer, I can feel it behind me, I turn around several times but every time is the same... no one is there, the shouts outside are getting every time louder and I am sweating more every second, feeling it coming for me, then is where I feel it, the craziness hugging me from behind and talking into my ear, it is not scary as most people would think, it feels like a breeze that will take all the problems that are in your head at that moment, and forever.

what in the hell is going on?

I hear a big crash in the restaurant, people screaming and running away everywhere, and when I turn around and look, fire.

There is fire everywhere.

the second I wake up from the shock, I realize

crap, Maira could be in danger.

At that moment I start walking, heading to the other side of the bridge, looking in the multitude for Maira, nothing, I started running when all the people were in the opposite side, maybe Maira crossed with the other people to the secure side of the river and I just didn't saw her, but I had to make sure.

I run and run, and when I am near to the middle of the bridge, I finally see her

"Maira!" I shout with all my strength, but she just stares at me "Maira!" I shout one more time, she doesn't stop looking at me, I don't think she is even blinking she just start walking to me, step by step, slowly, I am so shocked that before I could call her name again she was just in front of me

staring at me.

I try to talk to her and ask if she was okay, but she doesn't answer, she looks totally messed up and she has a crazy look in her eyes, one that I have never seen before.

I examine her from top to bottom, then I look to her hands... her left hand, she has a lighter

"you... started the fire!" I said with my trembling voice, she reacted as if my words were a button that I just pushed.

She just started yelling as if she was crazy.

She fell to the floor and started yelling and crying

"I didn't do it! I didn't mean to! it made me, it made me!"

"Maira, you need to calm down honey, relax, the firefighters are coming," I said without getting to close, there was something on her that just... wasn't her.

There was something else instead of her.

I kept trying to calm her, because. I really hoped that whatever I was looking at was just a really scared Maira, of course, it wasn't

she just kept yelling and crying, the fire was growing fastly, we really needed to get out of there, the smoke was already making my vision blurry.

I stood there trying to convince Maira to stand up, and she did, all of a sudden she just stopped crying and stood up, she was still looking scared and all messed up, she walked all over the bridge until she reached the other end, and she sat down, I really thought she was going to start crying again, but instead, she started laughing.

She laughed as loud as her lungs allowed her to, I tried to reach for her, but she stopped me

"stop there! don't you dare to get any closer" she said hysterically while she stood up on the bridge's barrier

"Maira, no! Please, I beg you" I said desperately.

She was going to jump off the freaking bridge

"they will never accept me, Dani," she said in a suddenly calm voice

"of course they will!"

"oh no, my dear, you don't know yet, do you?" she said in that same voice, then she just laughed once again.

And then she jumped.

"Maira!" I shouted while I ran to the other side of the bridge. And I saw her fall, and just then, the firefighters finally came.
