Lily dropped a giggle bursting out her mouth as she made through the window and stepped on Drake's back.

When he took firm hold of her, he closed her mouth with his palm, Ssshhh....silence Lily he hissed.

I'm having fun, her voice small as the mildest blow of air and she flashed her perfectly lined teeth.

Okay, come on. He carried her in his arms and they jumped the compound wall behind the main building. It was five AM in the morning, Drake had secretely got there and gave Lily the sign to escape. The sun was yet to pull out it's blanket of clouds, even then the light was out in tender gray and yellow. He started the car kissing Lily on her forehead, her face was lit up and she was more beautiful direct from the bed, thin smush of hair rolled and peeking at some places, like the rays had a mass.

She turned on the Radio and tuned the country music, slowly the guitar strum carried them along the road. Lily as usual sat hugging her knees to her heart.

Where are we going today ?

New clothes for the tiny princess, he twisted his eyebrows.

Ah, really? She shrugged happily. Her surprise was visible in her tone. And then? She added.

Do you want to go to carnival in South Jersey or shall we plan a hike in the woods ?

That's a hard question, she blinked puffing her cheeks, will there be lake in the woods ?

I can take you to the woods where is there is lake possibly.

Hmmmm, she kept chattering her teeth, we would pack a lunch, lot of snacks and would walk through the woods. The one with a lake, she bounced in her seat with excitement.

Sounds like a plan, then here we go. He shuffled her bangs of hair cropped to shoulder.

Like the mad breeze in a midnight seashore vacation, Lily danced off the day untiringly. The woods even had the day planned for the child with a warm sunshine and a bunch of it's own music being played by it's little flyers. Drake carried her in his shoulder for a while as she held on to his forehead. The lake was quiet until she started to push Drake with her weak yet brimming muscles. Drake instead lifted all of her and jumped together making sure she doesn't suffocate. He had taught her to swim already, so she was alright there kicking her rubber legs. Later, she munched chocolate cookies gazing at the pores of trees that let sunlight pierce through them. Drake had the comfort of being with his own child as his heart never said no to any of her actions. He had a deep flesh cut out for her.

She rubbed the towel to dry his hair giggling and squeaking at times. She had her craziness swooping down. Drake and her kept the forest lit up with humanly sounds Of joy and screams of fun. Their footsteps on some wet lands of forest were frozen distinctively to be remembered forever by the woods, for the happiness they passed to the greenery around.

The beautiful day was wrapping down to the headlights of a car that pierced the darkness yet again beautifully with it's mist of tiny energy pockets. Lily was tired and she had curled up in the front seat. Drake swerved through occasionally glancing at Lily and his eyes were soapy that day after having spent most of the time in lake.

He saw a flicker of yellow lamp by the street side, as he turned his gaze to the road all he did was pull his steering to the right jumping to the opposite lane in a flash and that's how he saved themselves from the wrong routed car only to be hit by the car in the right lane.
