"Hey, Evanora! Let's get these chairs to the seating area before Eliphas decides to turn them into bean bags," Jadis laughs. The red headed witch quickly waves her wand made of vines, causing a deep green glow to appear at the end of it. Jadis waves the wand carefully, reciting a well-known spell.
An urgent cry came from a sulking Eliphas as he returns from his game with Trance, who seems to have understood our inside joke. "Hey, that was one time! And Elder Madea told me to never do it again or she'll personally put me on the stick this time," grumbles Eliphas.
Trance, who only laughs at his friend's grumpy demeanor, pats Eliphas on his shoulder. "Eliphas, my favorite friend, we all know just how lazy you are.." Trance teases Eliphas with a cheeky smile.
The red head only scowls, slapping away Trance's hand. He hastily walks over to Jadis, who is steadily levitating chairs on top of one another. Evanora giggles, watching the two quickly begin to bicker about the placement of the chairs. I smile along with my friend, finding myself at peace amongst my fellow Wickens.
Evanora sighs softly, as if she was daydreaming. "When do you think the wolves will arrive?"
I turn to Evanora, finding her bright orange hair flaming with volume. She smiles dreamily while probably thinking about the beasts from Wolvernry. Smirking, I nudge the gal back down to earth. "What's with you lately, Nora?" I inquire, curious if she truly believes she can beckon one of them to be her mate.
She refuses to look at me. Her blush is all I need as confirmation of her thoughts. She giggles innocently, "Oh, come now, Mara. Ever since I first saw those beautiful creatures, I couldn't help but want one. To have a Were or a Lycan as an eternal life partner.." I saw her eyes glow teal as she wanders off in her head. She finally sighs, coming down from her dreamy state.
An arm wraps around my shoulders, and I turn to my left, finding Trance there. With a bright smile, he delicately holds my shoulders. "Wanting a wolf like the Wolvernrians is wanting to be dominated. You know good and well, Evanora, you are too stubborn and fiesty for your submission to any of those.. dogs." Trance spits the word out like he was peeling slime from the bottom of his shoe.
The movements from Trance's laugh causes me to break free from his hold and nudge Evanora again. The witch besides me sighs, shaking her head with Trance's words. "While that may be true, not all Weres or Lycans are looking for submission," she points out, holding a finger to Trance smugly. "At this time of year, most look for powerful and trustworthy companions to mate with in order to keep their quotas maintained."
A sad look passed over her face for a moment. She looked as if she were about to cry, but I knew better.
"It's tragic if you think about it; they're forced to pick someone out of power and not out of heart," Evanora sighs helplessly once again.
