Currently I was returning home after that sludge monster incident. I can't believe the idol I look up to the most told me I was never gonna be a hero.
As I walked I tried to hide the fact my dreams were crushed but I just couldn't. I tried saving my crush and all I get in return is a whole ass lecture from the pros. Maybe All Might was right. I can't become a hero. I can't even save Kacchan from a slimy monster that he took down with a single blow. I really am useless.
"Oi Deku!" I heard Kacchan yell so I turn around.
"I didn't need your help! You didn't even help me! So don't think I owe you anything!" Kacchan shouted and turned around stopping. How ungrateful. But I mean it's not like I really did anything. I just put my life on the line like an idiot because I'm so whipped. I let out a sigh and sit down on the street. I take off my backpack and get out my journal that Kacchan threw out the window. Here I gathered notes about pro heroes and their quirks. But why should it matter now? I began to rip all the pages out, tearing them to shreds. I got to All Might's page and immediately stopped. Did I really look up to someone who made my dreams into dust? I rip it out as tears fell down my cheeks and ripped every last piece until the wind blew it away. I sniff trying to stop crying and wipe my tears off with my arm.
"Aw, what do we have here? A little cry baby?" I heard a weak yet sharp voice ask and I immediately got up to see who it was.
"W-who are you?" I ask trying to examine his face but it was covered with a hand.
"...Me? Oh I'm just... the bestest friend you'll ever have~" He answered. I gulped and tried to find a way to escape this weirdo but there was no way.
"What do you want from me?" Could he be a villain? Why does he look so shady? There must be something up.
"I don't want anything that special I just want you to be my friend. It looks like we both could use one." The guy said as I saw his smile stretch out from behind the hand on his face.
