"Settle down childeren, settle down," our form tutor Mrs Sloggett said. We all took our seats and obediently took off our bags and put them under our desks.
My seat was next to Georgia, (is that good or bad)? She leaned over and whispered to me "Look at that fat cow," pointing to a new girl who was being shown around by the head teacher - Mr Roberts.
"She isn't fat Georgia, just slightly overweight. You don't know what she's like!"
"I bet I do. I bet she goes round stealing other people's lunch-"
"GEORGIA! That is ENOUGH!" Mrs, Sloggett yelled - in front of the newcomer. "You stop speaking in my class do you hear me?"
"Yes," Georgia mumbled. This was the first time she had ever been told off by any teacher at Elmwood High. Apparently, she was a goody-two-shoes at her previous school, and had lots of gold stars to prove it.
However, Mrs Sloggett wasn't done. She told Georgia she had to stay in at break time. That was probably the worst thing Mrs Sloggett could have done. Our form room looked out onto the playground, and Georgia's seat was right next to the window. Some tough luck, Georgia.
As the day dragged on, the day got worse, and worse.
