Glasses

The 25th of June, 2015

Nicolette was in the bathroom putting in a pair of contacts. She was in the process of putting in the second contact when Eggsy poked his head into the bathroom.

"What're you doin'?" Eggsy asked.

"Trying out some new tech that Merlin and I have been working on," Nicolette said before placing the second contact on her eye.

"And that is?"

"Special Intelligence glasses, but as contact lenses," Nicolette said, blinking the contacts into place.

Eggsy let out a chuckle.

"What? They're even more subtle than glasses!" Nicolette defended with a laugh of her own, "Speaking of glasses though, why are you wearing yours?"

"What? Don't they make me look smart?" Eggsy asked, adjusting the glasses on his face.

"They do, but my mother and brother have known you since we were twelve. What if they ask about why you're now wearing glasses?"

"Isn't it some fashion trend to wear fake glasses?"

"So your excuse is that you're a fashionista now?" Nicolette asked with a laugh.

"Maybe?"

"I don't think Ben'll buy that. Why are you really wearing your Kingsman glasses?" Nicolette asked, turning away from the mirror to face Eggsy.

Eggsy motioned locking his lips and throwing away the key.

Nicolette let out a mix of a sigh and a chuckle while shaking her head, "Alright. But I won't come save you if you start to flounder."

Nicolette then reached for her make-up bag before starting to apply the make-up.

"Oh, is it a feminine day?" Eggsy asked in an almost teasing tone.

"Even if it wasn't, we're taking my Mum to a really nice place. It would basically be expected of me," Nicolette said before she started to fill in her eyebrows.

Before Eggsy could say anything more, the doorbell chimed, followed by the dogs barking.

"That must be Brandon," Nicolette said, "Go let him in. I'll be out in just a minute."

Eggsy gave a quick nod before leaving to greet Brandon at the door.

Nicolette was quick to apply her mascara and lipstick, finishing with her eyeliner before putting her make-up away and leaving the bathroom. She then dusted off her blouse before going downstairs.

"Thank you so much for doing this, Brandon. We're going to be in Paris for a while, so having someone to watch the dogs makes me feel better," Nicolette said as she descended the staircase.

"It's no prob, Nic," Brandon said.

"We should be back by midnight so, you won't be held here for too long," Nicolette said as she grabbed her coat.

"Thanks again, bruv," Eggsy said, giving Brandon a firm handshake.

With that, Nicolette and Eggsy made their way out of the house for the evening.

"C'est délicieux," Eggsy said as he, Nicolette, Benjamin, Stacy, and Lucinda started to eat their dinner.

"Eggsy, just because we're in Paris doesn't mean you have to speak French," Nicolette said with a small laugh.

The group of five were eating in a private room, celebrating Lucinda's birthday.
