When you woke up the next morning, you stretched and got dressed before leaving your room. It was still raining so it was a little chilly outside and in the house. Haejung made you and Hana breakfast, your dad already left for work but will be back early. Afterwards, she left for work as well leaving you and Hana alone.

"Hana, what do you say me and you go out and have a girls day?" Her eyes lit up.

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Yes! I mean, sure, sounds like fun." You two got dressed and first went to get your nails done.

"I don't normally do things like this." Hana said. You were sitting next to eachother in the nail salon.

"I don't really either." You said.

"My mom never does things like this with me. That's why I was so excited when you asked me." You nodded.

"Me and my mom never really did things like this together either, I always just treated myself to it." After you got your nails done, you went to the mall and did a little shopping.

"You don't have to buy my stuff, I have money." Hana said. You shook your head.

"Think of it as a gift." As you walked out of the store, Hana bumped into one of her friends and they started talking.

"(Y/n), can I go over my friend's house? Her mom will bring me back home."

"Go ahead." You were left to go back home by yourself. When you got to the big empty house, it made you think about getting a place of your own. 'Mom did give me money after all.' You went up to your room and put your bags down. 'Hmm, since I'm all alone, it wouldn't hurt to do some snooping- I mean exploring.' You started walking down to the end of the hallway you've never been. At the end, to the right was a broom closet, but the hallway continued to the left so you kept walking. "Whoa." In the middle of the hallway was a sliding door with a huge deck that overlooked the backyard. 'There's no furniture out there, they probably don't use it. What a waste.' You kept walking and the hallway wrapped around again to the left. In the middle of the corridor were big double doors. You slowly opened them. 'Oh, this must be their  bedroom.' You closed the doors and continued walking until you reached the end where stairs were. You walked down the stairs and it led to a short hallway. There was a dead end but to the left what the kitchen. 'So that's where this leads. But what were thoes doors back there?' You turned around and walked back to another set of double doors. You opened them and peaked inside. It was a study/office area. You slowly walked in, almost tripping down the one step. You started browsing the bookshelf that lined every wall until you came across a photo album. You grabbed it and flipped through it. It was filled with pictures of your dad, Haejung, Hana and a bunch of people you didn't recognize, probably Haejung's family. You set the book down and walked towards the desk. You sat in the chair and leaned back. Curiosity took the best of you and you started going through the drawers. Nothing more than staples, tape, glue, paperclips, notebooks and other office things. There was one drawer that was locked though. You sighed and plopped your head on the desk, just then, you heard something fall. You sat up and looked under the desk. 'The key! I was probably sitting on this little ledge thing under the desk.' You picked up the key and apprehensively  unlocked the drawer. There was a small, tin, box and you gently took it out and opened it.  You gasped when you saw what was inside.

~Flashback~

"I was cleaning my room when I came across this picture of me holding you when you were a baby." Your mom said. You smiled. "See that necklace? That was my favorite, but I lost it after this picture was taken. Haven't been able to find it since."

~End Flashback~

You held up your mom's necklace and examined it. 'This is definitely the necklace from the picture.' You set it down and looked at what else was in there. Pictures, a ton of them. All pictures of you, your mom, your dad, or all of you together. Tears pooled in your eyes when you saw a picture of your dad on the left, your mom on the right, and you in the middle, all of you smiling happily. Under all of the pictures was a note. You unfolded it and read it. 'Chinhwa, I can't do this anymore. I can't take you're cheating. I've taken you back so many times for the sake of being a normal family, but you keep on doing the same thing again and again. I think it's best if I take (y/n) and leave. That's exactly what I'm doing. Don't look for us. I don't want (y/n) around you because I don't want her to think that it's okay for guys to cheat on her. In my heart I will always love you, but my mind is telling me it's time to go. I'm sorry it had to end this way.' Signed your mom. You sat back and processed what you just read.

"I see you found out the truth."

You jumped and stood up to see your dad in the doorway.

"Why did you lie to me?" You said.

"I didn't lie. I told you she left, and that's what happened."

"To an extent. You said she left because she didn't love you anymore but she left because you cheated." He sighed and had a feign look in his eyes.

"I'm sorry, (y/n)-"

"You're sorry? Why did you lie? You both lied." You threw the note down, grabbed your mom's necklace and stormed passed him. You stopped with your back towards him. "And you have nothing to say for yourself." You mumbled. You went to your room, packed your stuff and put them in the car. You drove off, not looking back. You drove and pulled into a random parking lot and stopped. You sighed and rested your head on the wheel. 'I have no where else to go except back home.' You figured that's your only option so you texted Jimin that you were coming home early, he was excited of course. You had a bad feeling in the pit of your stomach and you couldn't take it anymore so you called your mom.

"Hey, stranger." She said.

"Hi."

There was an awkward silent and you cleared your throat. "I'm sorry I hung up on you." You said.

"I understand why you did. I'm sorry for being controlling, I just wanted what was best for you." She said.

"I don't blame you."

"I should've at least called you sooner, but I thought you needed some time to cool off, then after a week I thought you didn't want to talk to me anymore."

"I thought you were mad at me."

"I was at the time, but I got over it."

"I have something to tell you."

"What is it?"

"I met my dad."
