Chapter 13

Sasuke Pov:

The enormous beast stood before me. Like a mountain casting it's shadow on a pebble. It's murky yellow gaze eyed me suspiciously as I slowly approached. It crouched just enough that it's slobbery muzzle was level with me. It's lips curled back showing two perfect rows of razor sharp teeth. It's breath was hot, heavy and reeked of death. I could feel my body begin to tremble, but it wasn't fear that was causing me to tremble. It was the idea that |f/n| was truly gone and this thing consumed her.
"|f/n| if your still in there please give me some kind of sign." I softly pleaded.
I gently lifted my hand to place it on it's charcoal colored nose. My hand hovered only inches away from it, as a sudden explosion impacted the side of the beast. It let out a roar of retaliation and turned it's attention towards it's attacker. It was Naruto in Kurama Mode. Before I could get a word out in protest to the attack, the beast lend back on it's powerful haunches before bounding towards him. I let out an aggravated grunt as I followed in pursuit. The beast hit Kurama with such tremendous force u could feel the aftershock vibrating throughout your body. Kurama grappled  with the monster's two massive claws and kept it's vigorously snapping jaw at a distance. I perched on top of the beast's head. I stood and watched [f/n], no this thing, this beast. It was so fixed on Naruto, snapping rapidly over and over. It's eyes wide with craze, it's breath ragged and labored from repeatedly biting the air over and over. My heart was aching from just staring at her. This wasn't the women that forever captured my heart. No, this wasn't her. My breath got caught in my throat and my knees started to weaken as I realized what had to be done. I can't keep letting her suffer like this. I knelt down and whispered softly to it, before leaping to a spacious distance behind [f/n] and took my Suasnoo form. I gave Naruto a slight nod, signaling I understand what needed to be done and was ready. Kurama twisted swiftly in a circle, mustering up the strength to send the beast hurling towards my direction. It violently tumbled out in front of me before coming to a skidding stop. It's head swayed side to side uneasily as it staggered to its feet. Finally it's wild craze gaze locked onto me. It let out a monstrous growl as it charged me. The ground breaking beneath its massive pawls.

[f/n] POV:

All I could do was watch as this monster tried to hurt the people I love and hold most dear to me. I screamed
"STOP!"
So many times and so loud my lungs felt like they might burst and my ears was ringing from my own screams. I crumpled down into a w style sitting position.
"Please stop. Please." 
I begged with a shaky whisper. I felt myself starting to slip away into the darkness of the beast, but then suddenly I heard it. Sasuke's voice. It was soft and reassuring. Like a candle in the dark. I looked to see him standing on top of the monster's head. He had knelt down and was softly running his fingers through the monster white coarse fur.
"I'm sorry I wasn't there when you needed me most, but I'm here now. I told you that I'll never leave you. Even in death." 
He mumbled, as he stood back up and put distance between us. I was in a trance watching Sasuke take his Suasnoo form, that I was completely taken off guard when Kurama spun us in a circle and tossed us like a sack of potatoes. We crashed to the ground and skipped across it's surface like a flat rock skipping on water. I was just grateful I didn't have to experience that physically. It took only a split second for the beast to recollect it's self. The moment the beast laid eyes on Sasuke it rushed him in his Suasnoo. As fast as it took a bolt of lightening to strike the ground Sasuke seized the beast's throat with one hand and slammed it heavily into the ground. The earth shattered like glass beneath the two titans. He positioned himself so he was straddling the wolf's back. Letting his weight keep it in place and steady. His hand rested on the back of it's neck. Securing it even more. I knew instantly what was happening. The beast turned sporadic as it tried to escape his grasp, but I knew their was no escape for either of us. My ghostly figure floated it's way next to him as he studied the beast. Pain, doubt and sadness plagued his face. I hated myself, how could I do this to him, to EVERYONE. I've been selfish, only thinking about my feeling and never considering the people I've hurt in the wake of my recent actions. But no more. Sasuke's Suasnoo materialized a stunning purple katana and rested the tip of the blade on the back of it's thickly fur covered neck. It shifted violently as the blade made contact but was powerless to do anything. I watched waiting for the blade to hit home, but it became uneasy instead. I turned my attention back to Sasuke, his hands trembled and tears raced down his cheeks.

"PLEASE, DON'T MAKE ME DO THIS!"

He screamed/choked out.
"Just come back to us. Back to me."
He begged. I placed my ghostly hand on his shoulder as I leaned in close to him. I softly whispered the only thing I could at this moment.
"No matter what I'll always be with you, but right now you must let me go."
I covered his hand with my own and helped in guiding the blade deeper. The beast let out a blood curdling scream of pain and thrashed. Sasuke closed his eyes and let out an agonizing scream of his own, as he thrusted the last of the blade through. Blood streamed from it's gasping mouth and it's eyes widened. It struggled to catch each breath, each breath becoming shorter than the next before finally taking it's last. As it's body went limp and lifeless, Sasuke collapsed out of his Suasnoo form on top of it. I waited for myself to fade away out of existence, but suddenly I felt myself being pulled back into the beast's lifeless body. The body had already began to disintegrate rapidly, replacing it with my own. Everything went black as my subconscious reentered my body, followed by enormous pain. My eyelids felt like a million tons, but I willed them open. Sasuke's worried face was the first thing that greeted me. I couldn't help but smile at the sight of him even through the unbearable pain.
"Why are you smiling you baka girl."
he asked in a raspy tone, as he gently shifted me into his lap. Cradling my head in his arm.

Sasuke Pov:

The heat was slowly fading from her body and a trail of blood ran down her chin from her mouth. But even as I watched the life from her eyes slowly start to disappear she never stopped smiling or once said she regretted anything. With all the strength she could muster she reached up and caressed my cheek softly, her touch was like that of a warm wind on a cold night. It sent shivers down my spine.

"Shi....Shisui.'
she stammered, her smile replaced with motherly concern.
"He's fine, two shinobi from the village found him just in time."
I reassured her softly. I saw the worry melt away from her pale fragile face.
"Sasuke.... I want u to know I don't regret anything. I enjoyed what little time I got to spend with you. I only regret leaving you like this."
She muttered, her voice laced with sorrow.
"Don't talk like that, Your gonna be fine."
I insisted, giving her an reassuring smile. I could tell she was slowly slipping away and knew she didn't have much more time.

"When ever you wanna see me again you can find me in your memories, waiting for you in that tiny room at the hot springs. I'll be waiting."
Her voice sounded so tired, and her eyes drooped.

"I'd best not keep you waiting to long then huh?"

I teased with a grin. Her mouth curved up into one last smile, before it faded and I felt what little life force she had left slip away. I hugged her lifeless body tightly against me. Scared that it was gonna disappear next. A firm hand gripped my shoulder.
"Sasuke!"
It was naruto. But I didn't care. He gently started shaking me and repeating my name over and over. Trying to snap me out of my trance. "Sasuke,Sasuke,Sasuke,Sasuke........................"
I slowly opened my eyes to see naruto hovering over me. I blinked franticly trying to adjust to the bright daylight. I found myself sitting beneath a large shaded tree.
"Whew, I thought you was never gonna wake up. I've been calling you and shaking you for the last ten minutes. "
He stated, while rubbing the back of his head. It took me a minute to process that it was all a dream. I felt strange about it. Happy that [f/n] didn't die but sad she'll be nothing more than a memory I think about from time to time.
"So what was you dreaming about. You seemed tensed when I was trying to wake you."
Naruto asked, genuinely curious.

"I had the strangest dream. I dreamt I Wanted To Have Sex With My Brother Wife!"
