Fiona's P.O.V.
"Hey Mary, look who I found." Mary quick swiveled around to see me standing next to a tall blonde man. "Who is that?" Mary asks confused. "This," I said, "is August Nathan. We went to college together!" "Oh,well i'm gonna go look for a new shirt" Mary said as she eyed me walking away. "Sooo, umm. Why aren't you at the college right now." I ask immediately wondering if the question was to personal. "Oh! I'm sorry if the question is to personal. I left because I was failing." I say trying to make him feel better. " It's okay. I left because i couldn't afford it." August says looking down. We stand in silence for a moment both of us wondering what to say to the other. 'Man I really need to learn more about him.' I thought. Finally he spoke up " I'm gonna go find the mens section." " Hey, would you ever want to go to get coffee after my shift at Starbucks on Tuseday?" I ask hesitating " W-why? He says looking confused and conflicted " Why not? I wanna get to know you better." I say a small smile spreading on both of our faces. "I'll be there!" He says waving to me as we leave in different directions. I can tell something new is starting.
Augusts' P.O.V.
I smiled to myself thinking about what Fiona just said. She wanted to get to know me. I had to keep repeating that to believe it. I couldn't get to excited this was just a simple hangout nothing more than getting to know each other. The way she looked at me was like she saw right through me like she knew exactly what i wanted even when I was to nervous to say anything. I wanted to know this girl..no I need to know this girl. After paying for the new sweatshirt I drove home and told Levi everything with an unwavering smile on my face, but i culdn't get my hopes up maybe she just wanted to be friends. "One day at a time August." I told myself realizing that i was going to fast. I was going to see Fiona in a day anyway.
~time skip~ Monday Morning
Fiona's P.O.V.
I woke up that morning feeling happy and refreshed. After shaking my sleep off i remembered what happened yesterday. A big smile spread across my face and I ran to my phone so i could call Mary and tell her all about it. "He-hello?"a tired Mary said "Babe who is that?" said a tired Alex. "Hey Mary!" I said excited "You know what time it is right?" she said sounding pissed. I checked my phone and saw that is was only a quarter after six (6:15). "Oops sorry Mary, I didn't realize it was so early." "It's fine, we'll talk later at your job anyway." "Okay,bye!" I say "Bye," I decide that it was too late to go back to sleep, and I have work in an hour so i just cleaned up until i had to get ready for work. When Mary got to my job I was in the middle of cleaning a table and stopped so I could go talk to Mary. I should really get fired :). "Hey Mary!" "Hey," "Sooo, guess what," "What happened Fiona? Did a spider bite you again." Mary said laughing. "Noo, remember when I was talking to August." "Ohhh,"Mary said raising her eyebrows over and over. "It's not like that Mary, I asked him if he wanted to hangout at Starbucks after my shift and he said yes. Thats all." "Sounds like a date to me!" "No it's not more like a get to know you better date." I smiled widely.
