Sick

It's late at night when you start coughing. You begin to reach to your nightstand but a certain someone is faster and a glass of water is held in front of your face. You turn to look at him and you can see the concern shining through his tired, sleepy eyes.

"Thanks." You say and reach to take the glass.

When your hands touch he frowns slightly because of the heat they're radiating and touches your forehead. His frown deepens.

"You're burning up." He states and begins to stand up, but you stop him, taking his hand.

"I'm fine, really. All I need is a good, nice sleep and in the morning I'll be ok."

He shakes his head slightly and gently releases from your grip standing up. You sigh. You know you can be very stubborn at times, but he can be even more stubborn than you, especially when it concerns your health. After a couple of minutes, he returns and places a cold, wet cloth on your forehead. He then gets back in bed and gently pulls you closer to himself fixing your pillow and you snuggle to his body drifting back to sleep. Johnny however stays awake refreshing the wet cloth from time to time to keep it cold because it warms up too fast from your temperature. In the morning when you wake up you finally feel better and your temperature's down. You look towards his side of the bed and find him asleep half-seated with his back against the bed frame. You immediately realize he's been taking care of you the whole night and you feel bad that he couldn't get enough sleep because of that. You carefully pull him down careful not to wake him up and cover him with the blanket.

"You took care of me all night, so now it's my turn."You whisper quietly before you stand up from the bed to go in the kitchen tomake breakfast.

You pause at the doorframe turning to cast one last glance athim. He moves in his sleep, turning to one side and puts his hand on the placewhere you've been lying next to him just a couple of seconds ago, unconsciously pulling yourpillow closer to him. You can't help the smile on your face and you look at himlovingly because he looks so cute and peaceful in his sleep.
