I was rushing out the shower and finding something to wear for school this morning. "Ooo, this looks cute." I exclaimed as I dragged out a cute flared top out of my closet. I slipped it on and admired myself in the mirror. I put on my jeans ,added some bow-like earrings, slipped on some oxford shoes and headed out the door. The morning summer breeze greeted me as I walked to the bus stop. My neighborhood is only filled with elders and high end trees ,so I am the only kid at the bus stop. I stuck on my headphones, to block out the anxieties I had on my way to school. 8 hours of boring lectures and stereotypical people was all I had to get through to survive th day. My bus finally approached my bus stop. "Goodmorning...." My driver stated as she had a grin on her face. I just smiled and walked toward my empty seat; curious stares of teenagers highlighted on me as I sat. My bus sped into the bus lane and I hoped off, running toward my locker. "Just 8 hours of this and I'm done for the day." I mumbled to myself. As I was closing my locker, I ran into this guy who looked like he was in a rush. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry." I apologized as I realized I knocked his book out of his hand. "No it's cool, I should watch where I'm going." He replied as he started to laugh alittle. There was a awkward pause between us until I shared,"I'm Emma...and your name?" He froze in his tracks and stared at with a puzzled look. "Uh I'm sorry for my introduction, but I'm really in a rush. Maybe we could catch up later?" He responded as he ran the opposite direction. I stood there in the hall, watching him run in a distance."What a strange way of saying goodbye." I said under my breath, while head I to my first period.

I entered the loud physics room and sat at my desk. Normally at this time, I would stare at my phone, pretending to look like I was busy. However, this time I decided to observe my peers. In the back of the room was the couple making out, while on my right was a couple of students aiming paper balls at the trashcan. Mr. Pierce wasn't in front of the class yet, so I suppose he ran out to run some errands. Surprisingly, this girl was casually reading her book behind me. I turned around and stared at her book cover that titled, A walk to nowhere. "It's a really good book actually.," She said as she closed her book and placed it down,"If you want interested, I'll let you read it after I'm done." "Thanks, that would be cool." I responded while smiling. The girl had hazel eyes that conplimented her caramel tone of skin. Her long hair was extremely dark and curly. "Oh and my name is Kylie. What's yours?" She puzzled. "It's Emma." I replied in a soft tone. "Well Emma, it's nice to meet you. This class is such a bummer. I don't really know anyone in this room and it's extremely boring." She complained and she put her head down. I giggled alittle, patted her head and said,"Only 12 months of this and we are finally free to do whatever our summer wants." "Thanks for the optimism girl." She replied as she sat up and smiled.
Mr.Pierce finally showed up with copies of worksheets we had to work on. "This is your ticket out of the door, I want this finished by the very end of class.." He explained as he left the copies on the desk for us to pick up. "Time to work."Kylie remarked as she generously grabbed me a sheet to work on. I turned around and we began to work together on the assignment all class period ,while we talked further about random things. Kylie was a strange yet, fun character at heart. She plays cello, running road races on weekends and has long distance boyfriend. "We spend everyday together on skype, but sometimes we see each other every other weekend." She added in. Getting to know Kylie was like finding getting a happy meal at McDonald's. Her stories were the ones you would find in a novel or dramatic movie; they were extremely interesting. "Now tell me more about you Em." She puzzled as she kept drawing circles on her paper. "Well, I'm a transfer from East Darwin Highschool and I spend my life on me computer. I'm not really a sporty type gal or a A student." I said as I shuffled my paper down. "Any guy you like?" She questioned while moving
towards me with her eyes extremely big. I chuckled and said,"Well theres this one guy--" "Who is it?!" Kylie barked, interrupting what I was trying to say. " "His name is Nathan. Uh I don't know if he goes here or not, but he randomly messaged me on skype one day." I blurted out "Hmm well that is peculiar. I wonder how he found you on skype like that."She said as her face looked confused. Suddenly, the bell to our next class blasted. Kylie and I turned in our sheets and headed out of class. "I'll see you around okay? Add your number to my phone." She demanded as she handed me her sleek phone. I dialed my cell phone number in and created a contact quickly. "Alright I'll call you!" She exclaimed as she ran to her next class. I can't believe I am saying this but first period was awesome.
