"When was the first day of your last menstruation?" tanong ni Tita Jillian.
"Uhm, April 19 po" yun kasi ang naaalala kong date nung tinignan namin ni Felicie ang Calendar ko sa phone.
"Ang tagal na pala?" Tita Jillian, may halong gulat ang pagkakasabi nya. "Based on your lmp, your due date would be 25th of January next year. But we need to do the ultrasound para makita natin kung okay naman ang heart ni baby" she smiled at me. Tinignan ko si Ate na nakikinig lang din, tumango siya.
After iprepare ng secretary ni Tita Jillian yung machine pinahiga niya ko sa kama, naglagay sya ng gel dun sa something na hindi ko alam ang tawag. Inikot ikot niya yun sa tiyan ko.
"Oh there, hi there little one" sabi ni Tita habang kinakausap ang monitor. Naluha ako, that's our child. Yves and mine. "Based on the image, you're already 4 months today".
"Ha? 4 months na po Tita?" tanong ni Ate.
"Yep" she gave me a tissue paper para punasan ang tiyan ko. She then printed the sonogram picture. "Sayang lang at hindi ka nakapagtake ng vitamins on your first trimester. Kailan mo pa ba nalaman na buntis ka?" tanong ni Tita.
"Last week lang po" nahihiya kong sabi.
"If you wouldn't mind, alam na ba ni Heather at Henessy ito?" Tanong niya.
Umiling lang ako.
"No Tita, it's just me and Felicie. Wala na pong ibang nakakaalam. We wanted to keep it a secret until she gives birth" Ate Vera.
"Even your parents? You don't want them to know about this?" sabi ni Tita while pointing at my baby's sonogram.
"Kung pupwede po wag na po muna sana" Ako.
"Pero you know your Dad, magtatampo yun. I suggest you tell him the truth, or kung hindi mo kaya sa Mommy mo nalang, I know Sam would understand. She's been through the same situation" Tita Jillian.
"We'll think about it Tita. We should get going, thank you for your time" Ate Vera.
Bago kami dumerecho sa bahay ay dumaan muna kami sa Pharmacy, inutusan niya na lang yung driver bilhin yung mga gamot ko dahil hindi siya pwedeng makita ng mga tao. Malamang ay iisipin nilang siya ang nagdadalang tao. Haha!
"You didn't tell me you're dating that idiot" Ate.
"Why would I tell you? Alam kong magagalit kayo" sagot ko sa kanya. "Lalo na si Kuya" yumuko ako. Thinking about my brother makes my heart race.
"You should atleast tried. Okay lang sakin, pero ang hindi ko lang matanggap yung binigay mo agad ang sarili mo" Here we go with the lecturing session again.
