Chapter 26

I asked Justin is I could borrow his car. He had been teaching me to drive before I saw his tail. He agreed. I started the car and drove to the movie theater. I parked and Bryan and I went inside. Bryan paid for two tickets to see a movie called "Tammy". We walked up to the snack counter and he bought me some popcorn, a side with 2 straws, and a candy. We walked into the theater and Bryan led me all the way to the top row I seats. I noticed a good looking guy lolling at me.

"I'm gonna go put some butter on the popcorn." Bryan told me. He got up and left. The guy that was looking at me got up and started towards me. He sat down in Bryan's seat. His eyes were black as night. He had a light stubble. He was easily 20. He got close to my ear.

"Hi. I'm Josh." His breath sent shivers up my spine.

"I'm Coral." He breathed in deeply.

"You're a mermaid."

"Yeah and you are a..."

"God. I can control fire." I looked at his eyes. They were turning red to orange and back to black. I gasped. Josh was now kissing my neck.

"Please don't."

"Why not."

"You're making a huge mistake." I heard a familiar voice. I turned to see Bryan. He was talking to Josh. Josh looked up at him to see a fist making contact with his nose. Bryan easily stood a foot taller than Josh. He grabbed Josh's shirt and started dragging him down the stairs. Bryan came back a little while later. "Are you ok?" I shook my head yes. He sighed from relief and hugged me. " I told the manager and he banned him."

"Ok." Bryan picked me up out I my seat when the movie started. He put me in his lap and put his arms around me protectively. By the time Tammy was stealing pies, I was snuggled in his arms. He was so comfortable. While the credits rolled, he picked me up in his arms and put my down. He got in his knees.

"Hop on." I wrapped my arms and legs around him letting him give me a piggyback ride. He stood up and we walked out of the theater. I let Bryan drive us back to the school.
