A Radnid Story

Chapter Eight

Enid woke up with a jolt & grabbed her head.

"Agh.." she groaned.

Rad & K.O. were still sleeping so it must be really late at night.

She quietly got up,, staggering a bit.

Enid walked to the bathroom & splashed her face with cold water from the sink.

"Snap out of it, Enid." she told herself as she turned the sink off.

She quietly walked out of the bathroom & shut the door behind her, probably a little too loud.

"Enid?" K.O. asked rubbing his eyes.

"Ah K.O., sorry to have woken you." Enid apologized quietly.

K.O. carefully got up, careful not to wake Rad.

K.O. followed Enid onto the back porch.

Enid leaned onto the railing, & K.O. sat on the chairs.

"Enid. Why're you up so late?" K.O. asked.

Enid closed her eyes for a second.

"Just a nightmare."

"You have..nightmares?" K.O. asked.

Enid turned to him.

"Yeah sometimes." she nodded.

K.O. frowned.

"Yeah me too."

"Oh. I'm sorry." Enid said.

"No it's okay." K.O. said.

"We should get back to bed, & we don't want Rad to think we disappeared on him." Enid smiled.

"Yeah. He'd be sad if you left." K.O. grinned.

Enid thought for a moment.

"Does Rad ever talk about me?" she asked inquisitively.

"Yeah all the time!!" K.O. exclaimed.

"He says how you're so pretty & how your favourite colour is purple, well he told me that a while ago, he says you like star gazing!" K.O. explained.

Enid just chuckled.

"Thanks for the info."

"Anytime Enid!" K.O. proudly said as they snuck back inside.

Enid laid back down, scooting close to Rad's muscular figure.

She heard him breath softly, he was snoring lightly, so she just smiled & closed her eyes

Enid woke up the following morning. Rad & K.O. were up, Enid pulled herself up to look where they were.

Her body still hurt..

Rad was in the kitchen with K.O. teaching him how to cook something.

Enid felt herself stare at Rad. Her face grew red.

He was so caring & sweet sometimes, & other times he was just trying too hard to impress her.

Enid got up & stretched.

She went & sat on the stools by the counter, on the other side Rad & K.O. were cooking on the stove.

"Goodmorning Enid!" K.O. said greeting her.

Enid smiled.

"Goodmorning."

"Hey K.O., can you take over on the stove for me for a sec?" Rad asked.
