"Get it!" The voice yells.

"Don't let it get away!"

"Capture it!"

I slither down the pathway between the two village houses trying to escape from the angry vendors.
All for a piece of fish
I roll my eyes with the small piece of fish between my chomps. I'm a Amphiptere, small maybe 4 inch like snake, with like dragon scales lining down down my back. I'm not like my ancestors though with the greenish-yellow scales, I was more like a reddish-orange. I guess you can say I was sorta rare...but that's not on my mind at the moment.

"You're gonna pay you snake!!" A villager growls. A snake?! I growl and turn around puffing smoke out of my nose.

Who are you calling a snake?!

I feel my body back and unleash a ball of fire from my throat. Which only reached his toes seeing how small the fire ball was. I watched the villager swear picking up his sore toe, I take the distraction as a chance to escape and crawl underneath a house. I watch as the small group of men jog right pass like the idiots they are. I chuckle releasing a bit of smoke out of my nostrils and dig into the small piece of fish. Fish like this cost 5 pound,  food is scarce nowadays especially with the river running dry. Dry river equals no crops and no crops equals no food- or fish. My god I freaking love fish. Tearing up the meat I watch as villagers go by beginning their daily life. Don't get me wrong creatures like us cause lots of problems, well mainly the big guys. Little guys like us steal scrap meat while the bigger guys just steal meat in general. People too, if you're lucky. To be honest I rather have a quick death than be sucked dry and left in the ditch to die. Yup, I'm talking about the vampires. Those blood goons drink all the people! Who else is gonna fish food for me- I mean us? We need to eat too you know!

"Well well well I smell a rodent you guys." I hear a man say. He must be talking about the Muse. Those rats like to poop where you stand and not give a damn. I continue into the fish not noticing a crouched figure staring at my back. I gotta get into these bones or else I can't make no more fire balls. I remember the last time I ran out I was stuck in a cold hole and I literally had to eat wood. Wood is like eating dried meat- it's dry and HORRIBLE.

"Gotcha!"

WOAAAH

With the fish between my teeth I glare at the vampire who's hanging me from my tail.

"Drop the fish." He demands. So I drop the fish. Little does he know I got fire!

"Did the wittle dragon run out of fire." He Cooes waving  the smoke from his face.

And I'm shoved into a bag
