"Anything you need Master Snout?" The servant questions.

"Yes," I reply," I want you to bring me every book about dragons."

The servant nods his head and disappears into the dark room while I wait I sip on honey tea admiring the animal life all around. For the past two days while I was healing I ignored Appolyons presence. I refuse to look at that pathetic excuse of a man. Though I felt saddened, more or much of my dragons fault, that our...mate...neglected us. I've come to terms that I can't leave this place, my body refuses that idea as much as my mind wants to pull through with it.

"This is all we have." He says setting down a stack, along with three other servants hands full of books.

"Thank you." I smile. I skimmed through the titles until I reach one that caught my eye.

The dragon species come in many such as listed below, but all share one thing. To many others it takes time to form a bond with their mates, but as a dragon your bond is strong as soon as you allow to be marked. The Goddess has many works, some believe there were mistakes such as male on male mates. What was made even worse, that others believe, was that dragons were born with both parts of the female and male anatomy. Once the dragon feels it's ready to mate it opens up the female anatomy for the other mate to release their eggs- weather male or female. Dragons are able to carry the newborn like regular humans-

Breathe Snout, just breathe. Taking a deep breathe I reread the passage over and over wanting to believe anything but.. that. Why haven't I heard about this? Wait...

"Daddy!" I yell running into my father's arms. I giggle as I watch the room spin around me. My father sets me down as mother enters the room with a nice suit on.

"How was your day honey." My mother says fixing his tie in the mirror.

"It was great," my father says kissing his lips," heading out for your interview?"

"Yes," he smiles into the kiss," I should be back in a few hours."

"My god you're a handsome man," my father whistles," you sure you don't have a few minutes?"

"Shh," my mother giggles," Not in front of the child, Ben."

"Alright Chris." My father smirks giving my mother a wink.

GOD DAMMIT WHY DIDNT I REMEMBER THIS SOONER?! I race through the page and flip into the next

Once mated the dragon is able to heal with just their saliva, hence why people kidnapped dragons for their power-

I slam the book down and rise up out of the bed. My legs wobble for a bit before I'm able to steady myself.

"You," I growl to the servant," lead me to that bastard."

The servant bows his head and leads me through the darkened hallways. I grew tired, but my anger kept me going until we stopped at his door to which I burst through.

"Did I say you could enter?" Appolyon says dismissing a man in a suit to the hallway.

"I know why you kidnapped me," I growl pointing my finger to him," you want to use me!"

"What is it you mean?"

"I can bare children- my powers! You want to use me you selfish bastard!" I yell," I don't know what you're up to but I want out of here this INSTANT!"

"Why is it you make everything so difficult." He sighs.

"Difficult?! If anything you're difficult! Showing kindness then controlling g me- WHAT is it that you want from me?" I burst.

"I don't know," he says," I want control but there are these...feelings I haven't experienced."

"Feelings? I doubt you have that." I say rolling my eyes.

"Haven't you noticed you're not in the dungeon," he says getting up from the seat," I've let you be, you get what you want with a snap of your fingers. I admit I treated you cruelty in the beginning but you're to blind to see the changes."

"Blind? You're tell me I'm blind? Look at yourself! Whatever comes up you disappear!" I spat back.

"I disappear so I don't HURT YOU," He yells coming closer," WHENEVER I SEE YOU I LOOSE CONTROL."

"Is that why you left last time huh," I glare crossing me arms," you couldn't handle the truth."

"I didn't know how to handle it," He growls," by letting me take charge we could avoid these- these situations!"

"You want to avoid your feelings don't you," I say stepping closer to him," haven't you experienced love or care?"

He stands in his spot clenching his fist, but In my gut I felt like he was about to disappear on me again so I lunged and wraps my arms around his waist. Feeling a cold breeze against my face I open my eyes to see the frontline of the forest.

"So," I say stepping back to look at his shocked face," are we gonna talk about this and work through it or what?"

"You sound like some sort of house wife." He deadpans.

"We're not going there," I glare with a hand on my hip," how about we start over."

"Start over?"

"Hello my name is Snout, I'm wild, born to be free, and I like fish." I introduce.

"Umm okay..," He says," I'm Sire Appolyon, King of Vampires, and I like blood."

"You sound so stereotypical," I comment rolling my eyes,"So wanna be friends?"

"Friends," he asks raising a brow," but I'm your mate-"

"Ah ah ah," I interrupt," we're not there yet."

"But the mark on your neck."

"Not. there. yet." I growl. Sighing I walk past him.

"Where do you think you're going?" He questions.

"Getting some food." I reply.

"Oh," he trails," wanna dine with me?"

"Ugh fine."

Some of you might feel the book is going fast but there may be a... conflict later on in the book 😏 so things need to start getting good before it heads south.
