Gangster
You had know of Block B. In fact, it was more like, who hadn't heard of Block B. This was their town, this was their territory and that had to be respected. If not, well, let's just say it wasn't going to be painless.
You kept to yourself, not wanting to somehow accidently trapped in such a dangerous life. You never wanted to be part of something you had no way of getting out. Unfortunately you didn't have much of a choice.
You had met Zico in front of your work. Of course, he had introduced himself as JiHo and had seemed innocent enough. He sat in the back of your serving area, always ordering a dark coffee and sticking around to chat a bit. You didn't mind it, didn't think much of it at all and it just became a part of your daily routine: Go to school, head to work, talk with JiHo, lock down, JiHo taking you home, repeat. It was natural.
Of course, on a particularly slow day, you had been cleaning tables, JiHo sitting and talking away.
"Nobody's here _____, come sit," JiHo smiled, the type of crooked smile that sent your heart racing. "Rest your feet and all."
It was late, you still had a few hours to go before locking up, so you saw no harm in just taking a short, unscheduled break. Throwing the rag on the table and plopping down at the seat across from him, you gave a sigh. Lately you had been feeling a bit of back pain and your feet were constantly aching during your shift.
"You okay there?" JiHo said, going over to slide next to you in the booth.
You scooted over and rested your head on your palm, looking at him with tired eyes.
"Yeah, just working pains I guess," you chuckled humorlessly, closing your eyes for a bit. "I'm not even old but I feel like I'm getting there."
It was true though. Sitting here, still in school yet not getting enough sleep between your job and studying, you felt older than the hills. But, if there was one thing that seemed to be helping you get by lately, it as the man sitting beside you.
"You know," JiHo started, looking away from you as if he was thinking about something, "you wouldn't have to work if you were with me."
And that was how it started. You should have said no. After all, you barely knew the man besides the relationship- if you could call it that- you had with him during work. You actually did say no the first time, laughing it off as a joke despite the butterflies that materialized in your stomach and the serious look in JiHo's eyes.
It had continued like that for a few weeks, him trying to convince you to go out with him and you shaking it off, yet each day you seemed to hesitate longer before you eventually gave in. Why not be with this amazing guy? He was always nice to you, he never really did anything to make him seem suspicions, and he was cute. Yeah, you didn't see any down sizes. You could still see the smile that was on his face as he took your lips and brushed them lightly against his own.
"You won't regret this," he grinned, his eyes shining like you were someone that mattered.
A few months later, and it was second nature to be with him. You spent your days studying, your nights working, and the rest of the time cuddled and spoiled by JiHo. It couldn't get any better, you thought.
It was raining today, the sky thundering away and JiHo complaining about the weather once again.
"You should have brought a jacket then," you laughed, the diner once again vacant and your head nestled between his shoulders.
"It was a little sprinkle when I left," He chuckled, shaking his head before placing a kiss on your forehead. "How the hell was I suppose to know thunderstorm was going to happen?"
