He wasn't sure when you became such a permanent and stable structure in his life. Having dated for close to two years, TaeYang wasn't even sure if he could stand living without you. He'd often find himself looking towards you randomly, his mind automatically checking if you were really there, that you weren't just his imagination. It was almost like breathing, your presence having to be constant and he felt suffocated when he was away from you.
Long tours weren't as fun and became mentally and physically straining, he can only hope to bring you along once you finished school. The second he sees you again, his energy levels go up as if your very presence shot sparks through him, winding him up with each touch and each brush of your lips. It was terrifying, yet TaeYang wouldn't change it for the world.
Sitting here, your arms interlocked with each other as you talked with the rest of his members, he realized that you had already fit in with every aspect of his life. He was positive that he was going to love you for the rest of his life. It wasn't a question or a statement, it was a law. You were the one.
TaeYang's body seemed to jolt as he thought that. Everything clicked then, like lyrics floating on a screen, words began to develop and he quickly began to jot down what was coming to him.
"What are you writing?" You asked, leaning over slightly but unable to see as your boyfriend tilted the paper, an almost innocent look passing by his face.
"Nothing," He shrugged, tucking the paper in his pocket, the movement catching not only your eyes but JiYong's as well.
Weeks later, you had been laying in your bed, your body week from a fever. You had heard your phone ring multiple times but found yourself unable to move the small distance between you and the kitchen counter. You hadn't eaten anything for a few days, unable to fully keep anything down, and hadn't wanted to stress TaeYang out further with your sickness. With his album underway, that made it hard on the both of you as your time together was almost non-existent.
TaeYang put down the phone, your voicemail beeping again. He swore there must have been a weight pressing into his chest when he ended the call. Although he had been recording earlier, he had spared time to call you each day and yet you hadn't answered. Worried, he excused himself, mumbled something to JiYong, and walked out, his strides long as he exited the building.
Entered you apartment, he had called out your name and waited for your voice to respond. Not even bothering to take his shoes off, he stumbled into the living room only to see your sweating form curled up on the couch.
"_____," TaeYang said, his throat tight as he tenderly reached down and immediately flinched back at the heat of your skin. "She's burning up." He whispered to himself.
Minutes later, TaeYang had a bucket of ice cubes that he rubbed patterns into your skin in an attempt to wake you up. You stirred as TaeYang repeated a trail across your temple. Seeing your eyes flutter, TaeYang released a breath and reached for the cold water he had resting against the coffee table.
"_____," he urged, carefully sitting you up and pressing the cool glass against your lips. "Baby, I need you to drink."
You sighed in relief as your glazed eyes looked up at him and your lips parted to allow the cold liquid to pass through your lips. After you had took in most of the water, TaeYang gently set it back and reached for another ice cube. You sighed as it melted against your skin and rested your head against his shoulder.
"You're going to get sick, Bae." Your voice was hoarse as you spoke.
"I'll be fine," TaeYang smiled before he frowned. "You shouldn't be worried about me. _____, you should have told me you were sick."
You lifted your warm hand to cup your boyfriend's cheek. "You're too busy to worry about me right now. I want you to focus on your album."
TaeYang felt a pang in his chest as he moved to settle behind you, gathering you in his arms so that you rested in-between his legs, your back pressed against his chest.
"I would rather you be healthy." He muttered. "You're more important."
Your eyes were heavy but you still tried to stay awake when he began to sing. It started as a soft hum before he opened his mouth and began to sing, reaching over to the ice bucket. His voice rumbled against your back as he sang, his voice a liquid honey, flowing over the words.
"It's beautiful," you mumbled at the end, your eyes dropping.
"I wrote it for you with the help of JiYong," he whispered, kissing your temple, "because I Love You to Death."
