The cerulean sky was lit with sparkling orange flames, the perfect symbolism for fire and ice, little did I know at that moment as I glanced up, wondering what my importance in the world was, that I would meet a man that would teach me about the brightest seas and the darkest skies.

I consider that day as the day my life changed forever, wondering if I knew then what I know now would I still walk up that alleyway to get home, because there lay the man that symbolised danger and darkness, the man that to this day owns my heart, body and soul and there is nothing I could do about it, nothing I would.

This is my story of love, loss, despair and danger, all the notions that come with losing your heart, for the path of the heart isnt chosen by anyone, its purely destiny and my heart led me to Aditya Hooda, man and beast entwined.

Darkness shrouded the alleyway as I reached for my phone, hoping to shed some light down the pathway, only to find my phone had died, huffing uncerimonesly I decided against going the longer route and took my first step into the dark. Each step was a small one, until my foot hit a firm surface and I fell toppling down onto something or someone that groaned loudly beneath me.

Twisting my body I rolled away only to be pinned to the floor, a bright light blinding my eyes "Who are you and what are you doing here" the voice was like honey but the weight atop my chest was making it hard to breathe

"Zoya, Zoya, my name is Zoya, please get off of me" I went to push my body up to be released only to be shoved back down

"Tell me, did you see who attacked me" I froze before shaking my head, the light still blinding my eyes, I blinked fast before being pulled up and dragged out of the alleyway the opposite way.

"Please just let me go, I swear I wont" I stopped mid-speech when I saw blood pouring down the side of his face "You need medical help, let me" I reached out only for him to grab my hand, spinning me around quickly so my arm was pinned between his chest and my back

"I dont need your damn help, im going home now and so are you, you forget you saw me and I forget I saw you and trust me, you want me to forget I saw you" he sneered into my ear before letting me go and storming off

My instinct was telling me to just let him go, yet as I watched him walk up toward my road, I had a feeling that this night was far from over, as quietly as possible I followed him, hoping to get home before he caught me

Within minutes he had turned around fast "Why are you following me" he hissed

"I, I live on this road" my voice shaking

His eyes narrowed "Ive never seen you here"

"And ive never seen you" I replied fast, not thinking about the anger laced in my tone until I had finished. I looked back up only to see him smirking at me

"Firey aren't you" he crossed his arms, looked me up and down then his eyes met mine "And not bad to look at either"

"I" my mouth opened then shut abruptly as if I was but a goldfish in unfamiliar waters, not wanting to get into anything with him I walked past him quickly trying to get into my home where I would be safe, only to arrive outside the door and notice that my keys weren't in my pocket

"Ah, neighbour, how cliche, you really do look like the typical girl next door" I could feel his eyes on me as I rummaged for my keys, finally finding them I ignored him and unlocked the door, ensuring to lock it behind me quickly

Pondering over to the window, I stopped as I saw him watching me from his window, he smirked before pulling the curtains shut, leaving me to return to my usual evening of sitting on the balcony, though I couldn't seem to shake the fact that I had never seen him or anyone leave the house before, yet there he was as real as ever, as if he had been there forever

"Hey, Zoya" I glanced up to see him leaning against the balcony of his apartment "Think you can clean this up" he pointed to his head

I wasn't one to deny helping someone in need but I didnt want to be in his home while I did it "Sure, if you come here" then he was gone and a minute later I heard knocking on my door

I ushered him inside, sitting him down I began to clean his forehead, brushing the gravel from his hair as carefully as possible all while trying to avoid his unblinking gaze, I swallowed before stepping back to grab the bandages, I stopped infront of him, leaning any closer would mean my chest would be in his face and that thought alone made me shudder

As if understanding my fear he pulled me into his lap "Better" he husked

Ignoring his comment I began to bandage him up, leaning up my cheek brushed against his stubble making him laugh a throaty laugh

"All done" I whispered, about to stand up when he pulled me closer, looking into my eyes he pressed his lips to my cheek "Thanks habibti"

My eyes were as wide as saucers as he let me go, making me grip the table in order to not fall to the ground "What, what does that mean"

He stood up, eyeing me "Maybe ill tell you some day" then he was gone leaving me as overwhelmed as I first felt when I was pinned beneath his body
