WAYO
I felt a large drop of water land on my lashes, slowly and painfully I lifted myself off the wet rock and stretched my hands across my body checking to see if I was alright. It was dark but the clearing of the trees above me showed the beautiful lights of the milky way, I felt a trickle of wet down my left ear and wiped it away in annoyance, it's only when I rubbed my fingers together that I realised it was my own blood.
Trying not to panic, I breathed in sharply and placed my hand over my heart, it wasn't racing. Having no bandage handy I ripped a huge bit of the moss from the rock digging my fingernails in and improvised but using it to stop my small wound bleeding, throwing it away after the bleeding stopped, I used my fingertips to check my head for any bumps, feeling along my skull. Thank god for my scouting lessons and Dad insisting I do survival courses, he was always obsessed with me getting kidnapped. I had a small bump on my head, but my vision was clear and no headaches or pain.
Wow, I just survived a fall but I couldn't say the same for my phone, it was smashed beyond repair on top of the rock. Picking up the scattered energy bars I continued chewing the open one. I might save the others for later, right now I needed to find shelter.
Checking my watch I noticed a giant crack on the dial, but thank god my Dad's heirloom was still working, the dail was glow in the dark and showed me the time was 11:45pm, I guess I was passed out for a few hours, walking along I heard the sound of a small trickle of water and carefully running up through the undergrowth I found a small stream. Smiling I bent down and washed my filthy hands carefully washing the blood and moss in between my fingernails, I then scooped up some water and carefully cleaned my small dried wound behind my left ear. Then taking a huge palm of water I splashed my face and hair to get rid of the dirt.
Walking along for half an hour the trees started to thin out, I hoped I was heading in the direction of civilisation, but falling had made me lose my bearings, suddenly feeling weary, I missed Dad. I scratched my would absentmindedly making it slightly throb when suddenly I felt a jolt of pain across my skull. I fell to my knees, the pain was unbearable, hot tears escaped my eyes and I raked my hands through my hair trying to take the pain away, taking a few deep breaths and counting to 10 I calm down and the pain stopped, I felt better but also felt a strange sense of Deja vu. Shrugging my shoulders I would remember what it was later.
I carried walking on till my arms and legs felt heavy, I couldn't walk anymore, my water bottle was thankfully full from the stream I was following and I had enough energy bars to last me a few days. Squinting my eyes in the dark I smiled at last I noticed a small clearing with an abandoned tent, the fact that it was old and dusty made no difference gathering what energy I had and grabbing a rag found in all the abandoned junk, I started to clear away the dust and cobwebs till the tent was spotless, I had a few pots and pans which I cleaned in the river and took off my dirty shirt and jeans, cleaning them by washing them in the river, I saw a small trickle of blood stream away from me downstream and I hung my wet clothes on a low tree branch.
Even in my shorts and vest it was too hot to sleep in the tent the humidity of the forest was making the sweat beads trickle down my back, I dragged the sleeping bag out of the tent and made myself comfortable in front of the long burnt out campfire.
Snuggling into my sleeping bag the days adventures were catching up with me, my eyelids felt heavy and soon I was snoring softly under the stars of the milky way.
Sliding into a dream state I tossed and turned, strange shadows running after me calling out my name, a voice I didn't recognising calling me and crying desperately, I felt someone caress my hand gently, I heard myself screaming as I fell down a dark hole and the next thing I felt was someone trying to gentle shake me awake.
"Yo, wake up, are you ok baby, it's me"
I faintly opened my eyes the sun was up high in the sky and blinded me so I used my hands as shade and yawned softly, suddenly a pair of hands squeezed me so tight I felt my breath escape my lungs, arms wrapped around me so tightly and refused to let go. I heard soft tears and felt rough hands caress the back of my neck. I waited a few minutes and then as the arms left my body, I looked up at the gentle soft brown eyes smiling at me and said:
"I'm sorry, who are you"
TO BE CONTINUED
Hey guy's I hope you liked my twist, I worked really hard on this update, I'm not a camping type of person, so I just used my imagination but I hope I get lots of votes and comments on this chapter as it was the most difficult for me to write. Again ignore grammar and spelling, I'll try edit later and thanks for reading.
