Hey guys!! Thank you so much for reading Diana!! Yes it's short, and yes it's not like regular Fanfics. But that's not the point.

Depression isn't just sadness. It isn't something that you just get over. would you ever someone with cancer to just get over it? no.

Depression is a mental illness, a flaw in human nature. it's not your fault. you could be poor, rich, have a perfect life, or a really shitty life. But that doesn't matter. anyone can have depression. it's a gene, a mutation in someone's brain that they can't control.

Don't try to understand depression. don't ask someone why they have depression. they don't know. it's a chemical released in someone's brain. just try to be there for them. it will be hard, they will push you away, but once their out of it, they will be so thankful and you will be very proud of yourself.

If you have depression, I know everyone tells you this, but stay strong. you can do this. Your strong for lasting this long. Yeah, I'm not going to lie. It sucks. I've had depression. somedays are better than others. but don't give up. you were put on this earth for a reason. when I had depression, a friend of mine told me, "if you weren't meant to be on this earth, you would've been dead already."

That doesn't mean kill yourself. it means that you have a propose and you haven't fulfilled that purpose. but you've got this!! you're strong!!!

God gives the hardest battles to His strongest soldiers.

That's you!! your strong and you WILL get through this. if I did, you can.

The point of this story is a view on depression. yeah, I'm not the greatest writer. I know that. but hopefully this book will motivate you to not judge people who cut or are depressed. they didn't choose this. it's how they are. not who they are. they are so much more than depression. help other people see past the self harm and depression. help them figure out themselves. Because it's one of the greatest feelings in the world, knowing that someone loves you. make someone feel that way, and I can guarantee it will make you feel amazing. maybe even better. thank you for reading Diana and this LONG ass authors note. hopefully it spoke to you.
