"guys, it took a lot of convincing to get my mom to let us stay there the whole summer so please don't wreck anything, she'll kill me" Luke told his friends from the backseat of Ashton's car.
Calum rolled his eyes. "We won't Luke"
"I know I just want to make sure" Luke told him, annoyed. He didn't even want to go out to his cabin for the whole summer. He loved being with his best friends and all but he hated being away from home for a long time, and he had a feeling this summer would go by very slowly.
"what's even the point of going out there for the whole summer?" he asked, curious. He really didn't understand why they couldn't just go for a week or two.
"so we can work on our band in peace, no parents, no jobs, no girls, no distractions" Ashton told him, and Luke heard the grin in his voice.
"Right" Luke said and sighed, looking beside him at his best friend Michael. It didn't matter if they weren't in their hometown all summer, he'd still be distracted as long as Michael was there.
"C'mon Luke, we're gonna have fun! don't be so down about it" Michael said, noticing how unhappy Luke looked about all this. Michael smiled at him and Luke couldn't help but smile back and nod. Michael continued grinning, looking satisfied and moved over a bit to lean his head on Luke's shoulder.Luke bit back a smile, maybe this summer wouldn't be so bad.
