*Trinity's POV*
I was walking. Almost subconsciously walking... Down her old regular walking routine. I can't believe it was only two days ago that I had lost my best friend. My big sister.
"Bree..." I whimpered as a fresh set of tears flooded out of my eyes.
Non of us was taking her death well at all. Her mom, whom I liked to call mine, was utterly broken. Her once wise eyes were now filled with sorrow. I couldn't bear to look into them anymore. They were lost, always somewhere else. She wasn't even mom anymore. Hardly talking, barely eating and never out.
Her siblings wailed and screamed her name when they realized she wasn't just at a sleepover or a week at camp anymore, but permanently gone. Her dad felt guilty, trying to put on a brave face for everyone but his eyes were almost like her moms, unseeing and lost. I couldn't bear to even spend a second with them anymore at this point because even though she wasn't my actual sister, I was bawling as if she actually were. Maddy cries too. Almost every two hours for ten to fifteen minutes.
Now Skyler... To say he was okay was a total understatement. Everyone knew he wasn't okay and everyone could see it too. He didn't try to hide it either.
I knew why he was this way. Everyone thought they knew but they only knew half of the story.
The part they knew was that he would have been the one dead had she not pushed him out of the way and risked her life for him. He would never get over the guilt he felt, because he thought it was his fault she was dead and gone forever.
I knew the other reason that the countless number of tears still flowed down his stained cheeks. He loved her. He admitted it to me the day he first kissed her, on a dare. He never showed her because he wanted to be cool and not show feelings for someone as delicate as her. But he truly did, he loved her. She had mentioned to me that they could have been soulmates but she didn't want to fall too fast again.
Fresh tears spilled again as I remember what he had told me.
He told me he loved seeing her smile. It was so contagious when she wasn't frowning that it would make him smile. He told me he hated seeing her depressed when her dad yelled at her for nothing countless times. Even when he said it annoyed him because he had depressed friends back home and didn't need her stuff on him too, he still cared.
He loved her blue eyes. He described them as full of love and thought, wonder, and her whole life's story. She was close to an open book although she tried to hide what her pages concealed, to try to be stronger. Her eyes twinkled with determination and laughter, especially that night they snuck out. He loved the yellow streak in her left eye and the many colors of blue they changed to depending on her mood.
Her hair. He loved her curls. Messed them up quite a few times too, but in the process, using that as an excuse to run his fingers through the soft ringlets. It shone and glittered like sunshine and pure gold.
To know that he felt that way about her, that she was gone and would never get to hear it herself... Pained me. My heart ached for Sky, for Bree being gone, and for mom, her dad and her siblings.
I wiped my eyes as I was nearing the highway coming into town, and stopped dead in my tracks. There, lying in the ditch, close to the fringes of the trees was a girl. She looked around Bree's age and she had curls just like hers! At first I thought it was Bree! Their figures were exactly alike but as I neared her and took a look at her face I could definitely tell it was not her. Her face lacked the trademark freckles on her nose that my best friend had and now that I looked closer, I noticed the girls hair was close to white blonde, unlike the golden color.
"Umm... Excuse me. Wake up. Hello?" I whispered. The girl stirred a little and opened her eyes.
I gasped, taken aback. Her eyes! They were close to an ice blue but contained the exact same yellow streak as Bree's had! In the same eye too, the left. It was as if I could actually see my soul sister in those eyes. I shake my head and regain my composure, for now.
"C'mon, you've got to get up. Are you okay? My name's Trinity."

*Angel's POV*
I felt something shake my shoulder and heard a whisper in my ear. I opened my eyes to see who it was that had woken me up. Gosh my head was pounding! It felt like a mallet was being smashed against my skull again and again!
As soon as I opened my eyes the girl who must have woken me up, gasps.
She has streaked blonde hair. It's almost white blonde, I could tell because her roots were just barely showing. She's a little shorter in height and her eyes are blue. She's staring directly at me, into my eyes as if she sees something, knows something that I don't.
She shakes her head and starts to speak.
"C'mon, you've got to get up. Are you okay? My name's Trinity." she explains.
I rub my head gingerly, brushing my curls out of my face.
She seems nice enough. Maybe she will be my first friend! 'I should probably be cautious though just in case,' I thought to myself.
"I'm Angel," I tell her, flashing a smile and slowly trying to pull myself up. She smiles, but the enthusiasm is lacking and the smile doesn't reach her eyes. Her eyes are dark and circles have been etched underneath them. She looks as if she's been crying.
"Are you okay?" I ask her.
"Umm... Not... Yeah I'm okay." she mumbles. "Wanna come with me? I was just about to walk to my aunties to get a sprite," she says.
"Sure!" I shrug simply, keeping the smile on my face serene and following her as she turns and walks back into town.

*Trinity's POV*
'Skyler has to see her!' I thought. It might break his heart to notice that Angel looks almost like Bree but he just has to see her! Plus she's gorgeous so maybe he will fall for her and kind of forget about Bree, even though I know he won't be able to because not even I would forget about her. Ever.
We are heading to Aunties to get a sprite, when sure enough, Sky's outside listening to Angel by Akon.
Oh God! Not good! He'll start bawling soon! I can see it!
"Hey Skyler!" I call, forcing a smile for my cousin.
He looks up, mumbles what I hear as a 'hey' but as soon as his gaze falls on Angel, his expression changes. It's almost as if he's seen her and thought Bree was back. His eyes held so much hope in that minute that I was crushed when he realized it wasn't actually her. Oh. Em. Gee. Skyler and I need to have a crying session later.
I was hesitant on whether I should introduce this stranger, who seemed so much like my best friend although I hardly knew her.
"Skyler... This is Angel." I told him.

*Skyler's POV*
Sitting out on grandmas lawn was very uneventful but drowning myself in the world of music helped me to at least think straighter than I had been. I was listening to Angel by Akon, knowing she was one, probably the most beautiful one too.
"She's got that whole place glowin' and she's high in the sky singin'"
Suddenly Trinity decides to show up. And she's not alone.
I look up, a sliver of sheer hope. Hope that it's her and she just came out of the hospital, smiling ear to ear, happy to see me! I was gonna give her the best kiss she's ever had!
Looking more closely though I realize that it's not her, but a total stranger who reminds me so clearly of her. Of Bree.
"Skyler... This is Angel."
Angel. I thought to myself. Suddenly there's a flash and I can actually see her.
"She looked at me, took me by surprise yeah. As if she, took me by the hand to some foreign land and had me way a, way above the clouds in the sky singin'"
At that moment all the words made sense. I felt as if I actually were looking at an angel. Not really Angel, but an actual angel of Bree. I experienced a brief flash of a scene of Bree talking to someone, in a place I wasn't familiar with. It's as if she actually took me and showed me this scene; as if Angel were Bree. It fit the song perfectly, but all too soon that flash passes and I'm left gasping. It's not humanly possible that Angel is Bree so why was I so stupid to even believe for a second...

*Back to normal POV, Angel*
I remember this song. As sudden as those certain words ring through my eardrums, I'm whisked away and see a brief flash of a girl who resembles me.
"She looked at me, took me by surprise yeah. As if she took me by the hand to some foreign land and had me way a, way above the clouds in the sky singin'"
I look at Trinity's cousin and it's like I take him by surprise. He looks startled and very surprised. In that same moment, I am given the point of view of a girl with golden blonde hair, cascading in ringlets down her back. It's as if I am her. I can tell he can see it too and suddenly I can feel a pull towards him.
I don't even know him! All I know is that his name is Skyler! And he's cute but even still!
The scene leaves me with an excruciating headache and I'm left on my knees, gasping like Skyler. He stares at me as I look up from under my white blonde bangs. His stare is full of recognition.
"Are we done here?" I ask Trinity, wanting to escape his eyes, getting up and wiping my jeans. I hadn't meant for my tone to be so sharp but I didn't want him looking at me as if I was someone he knew, and someone I didn't.
"Oh, uh, yeah I guess. Let's go to aunties!" she yelled, grabbing my hand and pulling me towards the house right beside where he was staying.
God help me!
"Bye Skyler! I'll come for a sleepover later!" she called.
I heard Both of Us by Taylor Swift featuring B.O.B start to play as we walked away.
