(Jade's POV)

I wake up in the infirmary of the school. I feel better after a bit of rest. It's still day out and I look at the clock. I slept for maybe maybe 5 fucking hours. How did I even do that? Was I really that tired or was it an emotional break down of sorts? Or maybe an emotional drainage and because I was feeding my brain too much oxygen. I sigh as I get out of bed.

"I got my schedule." I jump and turn on Alvin quickly. I sigh in relief when I realize it's him, the sweet boy. Ha. Wow. That is just so not true.

"You showed your powers... did you wipe their minds?" I ask. He nods and hands me a bag of chips, a small one from the vending machine.

"How do you feel?" He asks as I open it and start munching on them.

"I feel better." I admit. I had felt very well rested this morning before heading to school. Sleeping and waking up beside Alvin certainly did help my mental state.

"Hmm." Alvin isn't much on words it seems. I motion him to sit with me on the bed. He does and I lean my head on him as I look out the window. The sun is high in the sky. I mean it is the evening.

"Are they dead?" I ask.

"No. As I had said. I won't kill without permission from you." He looked down at me. I glanced up at him and nodded.

"You gave me a scare." I state. He keeps his red eyes on me.

"I apologize." He stated.

"It's not your fault you had to go demon on them. They are assholes any how." I sigh and toss the bag into the small white plastic bin by the bed.

"Are you fit to go to class?" He looks to me again with such intense eyes. It's nice to look at something so gentle yet deep.

"Yeah. Can I see your schedule first tho?" I ask. He takes out his schedule from his backpack and hands it to me. I read over it and notice that all the classes are the same as mine. Every single one. At all the exact times and in the same classrooms.

"Alvin, not sure if it's wise to have all the same classes as me." He must have hacked into the school system or used some type of spell or power of his to hypnotize someone in the staff to make this and add him to all the classes.

"Why?"

"Because I take choir. And I don't think you're the singing type. Especially songs about heaven and god and stuff. It's usually all we sing about..." I sigh. He looks at the schedule then at me.

"Anything to be by your side." He nods at me and takes the schedule back. I sigh but blush. He has been saying sudden and flustering things like that. It's honestly very cute.

"Also, do you know how a couple is supposed to act? I mean if we are tryin' to fool people, ya know..." I blushed. I kinda did like the idea of having a demon boy as my boyfriend. And Alvin isn't an arrogant or immature person, which I really like about him.

"Not really. I don't like watching humans. They bore and annoy me." He confirms my suspicions.

"Search it up on here." I hand him my phone with the search engine on. He takes it and types into the search bar for google: How are couples supposed to act?

A lot of results came up as usual. He tapped the first one and started reading. I stood up and stretched. I looked around and found my bag. I hitched it onto my shoulder and checked my clothes. I smoothed down my hoodie so then it didn't bunch on my hips. I pulled my tights a bit higher so they didn't pool at my ankles. I flattened my slightly upturned black skirt. I run my hands through my hair to tousle it like usual and look at the mirror on the nightstand. I look good. I smirk at myself and turn to Alvin. I pull the sleeves of my hoodie more over my hands so only my fingers are poking out. My gloves are still tightly strapped onto my hands. Alvin is standing and has his backpack on, my phone off in his hand. He slips it into my pocket and leans down very closely to my face. My face heats at the action but I take the initiative and quickly plant a soft kiss on his nose, dodging his lips out of nervousness and fear of not doing it right.

He stands up straight and I see a tint on his cheeks. He clears his throat and looks away. He opens his hand up to me. I interlock our fingers between us and we walk out of the infirmary. Did he read in this? It makes me honestly happy...

"By this time. We should be having lunch. What do we learn in lunch?" He turned his head to me and looked down into my eyes. I almost broke out laughing at that.

"We don't learn anything. We eat and have a break from learning for 30 minutes. We can do whatever in the span of time. We can go to a cafe nearby for food or just buy food here, they have a whole food court here. McDonalds, Panda Express, Pho, some ramen, there is also a Wendy's, I think they put in a Burgerking." I excitedly say as we walk down the hall, hand in hand.

"Wipe that smile off your ugly face, whore!" A book is thrown my way. Before I have time to react, Alvin's other hand shoots out and catches the book by its spine. It's a copy of To Kill a Mockingbird. I give a shaky breath and Alvin looks at my face as he lowers the book away from my face. He lets go of my hand and touched my cheek as he looks at the girl who threw the book.

"Want me to skin you? I am not afraid to kill you if I must." Alvin glared daggers at the girl. She shrank back and ran away in her red high heels, her name was Jenny. Her for friends followed her; May, Penelope, Maria, Suzie, and Jackie. I sighed through my nose and looked at the ground. Why do people hate me so much?

It's like... it's not about what they do to me, it's about why they do it that hurts me so much. I start to cry silently, head down, eyes closed as I silently let tears slide down my face and onto the linoleum white floor. Alvin tried to raise my eyes to meet his but I move out of his grip.

"LOOK! BITCH BABY IS CRYING AGAIN!" I hear a boy yell. Then suddenly everyone is laughing at me. I hear Alvin growl. He leans down swiftly to my ear. His fists clench and unclench at his sides before putting them on my arms. His hold was so tight that it hurt and I felt his long nails through the fabric of my hoodie.

"Do you want me to kill them, Jade? I'll do it, for you. I'll drag them all to the deepest pits of hell." His eyes flared and glowed red. He was so juiced, fueled on anger. If he killed them, he wouldn't just stop there...

"Just give the order." He tapped the top of my hand with the pentagram on it. I look at him through my hair.

"No. Let's just go." I tell him. He nods. He then lifts me up into his arms in one swift motion. Everyone goes quiet as he carries me away bridal style, his face serious and mine hidden in his chest. I reach into my skirt pocket and pull out my knife. He eyes it as we walk.

"Jade, don't."

"I don't want to feel this way anymore."

"Turning emotional pain into physical pain won't make the pain go away, you're just creating more of it. You humans are so dumb."

"Shut up-"

"They are so clueless. They think they are so smart and powerful but they are as powerful as a toothpick."

"Shut. Up."

"I could just skin them all. Get rid of all their whining and complaining. I wouldn't care if I ate their souls-"

"SHUT UP." I hopped down from his arms and ran, knife clutched in my hand as tears flowed down my face. I ran and ran but I knew Alvin would find me. He can teleport or fly or whatever!

He and I have a contract. I can't take back what I've bargained off.

I can't take back my soul, body, and life.
