(Alvin's POV)

I find her sitting by herself. She seems distant and unfocused. She is unaware of me as I stand in front of her. Her eyes are foggy with dreaminess. She isn't here at the moment. I breathe a sigh through my nose silently and look around. We are at the side of the school, out of view from the world as there is so many trees here. Her knife was still clutched in her hands, her knuckles going white. I reach down and touch it, trying to get through her fingers gently. She whips her hand away behind her and looks up at me quickly.

"Go away." Her deep glare sent goose bumps all over my body. Oh dear Lucifer... I have sinned.

"Is that really what you want me to do?" I ask. It seems like she doesn't want to be alone. Her words contradict her thoughts. I can read everything into her soul because of our contract.

They all hate me.

What did I even do to them?

I'm all alone.

They don't care if I kill myself.

No one would care.

I just want to die.

I don't want to be alone anymore.

Why does this always happen to me?

All these thoughts seemed to be followed with the most overwhelming and human emotions. The loneliness and depression. The anxiety of dying and being alone forever. She is scared of dying alone. I can tell.

"I SAID GO AWAY!" She slashed her knife at me then instantly regretted snapping. She closed her eyes and sighed, her breath getting caught in her neck. She looks beautiful even when she is sad and stressed. I stay there before her. She looks at me with tired and wared down eyes. Where she cut me, blood fell down my neck. She had cut my neck. It didn't hurt but I could tell she was hurting just seeing it. I didn't want to heal it first, I wanted to see if she'd do something about the blood leaking into my school uniform. She looked at it and cringed at the sight. I felt the odd but familiar sensation of my lips trying to turn up into a smile. It always happened with Jade.

"I'm so sorry..." she whispered to me. Her soothing voice sent shivers up my spine but I hid my emotions with a small head tilt.

"It doesn't hurt." I state. She sighed in relief which makes my lips flit again. She cares about me. I've never had someone care about me before.

"Can't you heal it? Or do you want me to take care of it?" She asked as she leaned in closer, staring at it. My face felt hot.

"Take care of it for me. I'm curious." I admit. She nods and grabs the back of my head, she then holds onto my shoulder too and leans in. She puts her mouth on the cut, it was as long as the ones across her arms. Yes I have seen them. I gasp as she sucks on the wound. I hold myself back as she separates from me and nods seriously.

"Saliva has an enzyme that can cause blood clotting. It's why animals lick their blood wounds. To stop the bleeding and to kinda keep it sterile." She informs me. I feel my heart drop in disappointment. I don't know why... she stands and grabs my hand. Her warmth makes me feel fuzzy inside. It's weird and new. I've never felt this way before. She looks up at me with sparkling eyes as always. She seems better now.

"I have a tiny first aid kit in my locker. Always keep it with me and it's stalked full with supplies. I can patch you up with it, Love." She leads me back into the school. Did she call me love? That made my heart pound very hard in my chest. She ignores all the stares. I'm surprised at her. She is getting better. Makes me....

Makes me proud.

"Here." We stop at her locker. She puts in the combination that I quickly remember as I can hear the clicks. Demons have heightened senses, 10 times stronger than any animal or any combination of animals on Earth. She pulls out a small white box. She opens it up and takes out a large band aid that could probably fit over someone's eye. She tears it open and peels the white strips off the sticky sides. She pushes my chin up slightly and sticks the bandaid carefully over the cut. I smile to myself in my head.

From now on, I will purposely get hurt and not heal it. I want to be taken care of by her. She has such a gentle touch that can cause any man to melt.

"Good?" She asks and suddenly plants a kiss on the bandaid. My breath hitches. I nod curtly, trying to hold back my hands from holding her. I just want to hold her. Dear Satan help me.

"Let's get to class..." I suggest. She nods absentmindedly, a smile growing on her beautiful face.

"Yeah. We should." She murmurs absent mindedly as she backs up a bit, a blush on her cheeks. I take her hand this time and we walk to class.

(Third Person POV)

"I think this new kid is taken her from ya boss." One of the lackeys said as they watched the couple walk down the hall, hand in hand. There was 4 lackeys standing beside one young man. His name was Ricardo. He has had his eyes on his precious Jade for a while now and all of a sudden this new kid comes in and sweeps her off her feet.

"We 'blunt' him. After school." Ricardo says grimly. The lackeys nod in pure approval. Tho they would have no choice either way.

"That new kid, Alvin right?"

"Yes boss."

"Well Alvin... you're gonna have one hell of a journey these next High school years..." Ricardo laughed, looking off out the windows in the hall. His lackeys smirked and gave laughs too.

Soon after they go silent, the bell gives a loud ring that echoes down the very empty halls. The lackeys looked to Ricardo on what to do. Ricardo turned and walked out of the school building.

He had a wicked grin on his face.
