{After School}
(Jade's POV)

Alvin has certainly made me feel better. I've never felt this good with someone before or at all really. Good as in the sense of being happy and not a bad thought in sight! I feel... suddenly very optimistic and glad to be alive. Me and Alvin are walking home together.

"Hey!" We look to the side just as we walk out of the school doors to see a group of young but built men. As in they were kinda buff and muscly. The boy who looks to be the leader of the little squadron comes up to us. He smiles at me then turns a quick glare at Alvin. Alvin pays him no mind and pulls my hand.

"Let's go." He urged without much emotion or care. Probably sees the bad in these guys.

"Hey now, what's the rush? Let's just stay for a while... Jade tho, she can go home. I'll send one of my boys to keep her safe for ya, chum." He patted his hand down onto Alvin's shoulder. Alvin narrowed his eyes at it and wiped it off with his free hand.

"Don't touch me. You reek of alcohol and nicotine." Alvin growled out through gritted teeth. I tugged his sleeve like a child and he turned his full attention to me, face softening noticeably. Very noticeably.

"Alvin, up-y." I ordered. He nodded and picked me up bridal style in his arms. I smiled as we started walking. But then the boy, which I now remember as Ricardo, pulls back Alvin by the back of his uniform collar. I gasped as Alvin lifted me with one hand against him, his strength knew no bounds it seemed. He pushed Ricardo to the ground harshly with his other hand. The one holding me was under my butt, holding me against him chest like a small child even tho we didn't have THAT much of a height difference. I wrapped my arms around his neck when Ricardo lunged at Alvin.

"You're scaring her." Alvin's voice rose. He actually rose his voice at Ricardo. Ricardo stopped and looked at me. I hid my face in Alvin's shoulder. I blushed hard, I don't like all the attention. I'm good with just Alvin's.

"Please lets go home." I begged loud enough for them all to hear.

(Third Person POV)

"Tch. Fine. I'll deal with you tomorrow after school, Alvin. And we will settle it then, whether she is here or not." Ricardo sighed. What they didn't know was that Ricardo was a demon too. So when Alvin first saw him, he knew, that Ricardo wanted Jade's soul and maybe more.

"Doesn't matter to me. Foolish games such as yours do not have much to gain from." Alvin retorted without hesitation.

"Fine. Let's wager." Ricardo's lips turned up into his classic sadistic smirk. One that Jade didn't like tho she was only peaking from Alvin's shoulder.

"As you wish." Alvin looked passive and uncaring, eyelids half lidded in boredom.

"How about whoever wins, gets Jade's affection." Ricardo's grin grows even more malicious when Alvin's eyes widened. His arms hugged Jade to his chest tightly, she wrapped her legs around his waist and arms around his neck.

"That wouldn't be fair to her..."

"But you know that we can." Ricardo knew that Alvin knew that Ricardo was also a demon. They could see right through each other's human disguises. But Jade had no clue at all.

"... yes.. I know that." Alvin seemed to falter now. Feeing threatened by the demon challenging him. If a demon challenges another, you are not allowed to back down. It is Lucifer's top 10 rules of Demonhood.

"Then tomorrow, after school. We fight, one on one. She can't see... unless she wants to~" Ricardo purred at the sweet things curled in Alvin's arms. She shook her head against Alvin's neck and hummed. Making Alvin blush at the vibration. She had this affect on him.

"I don't want to see Alvin kill you." She smirked at Ricardo. Ricardo whistled and blushed. The wicked Jade turned him on. He nodded.

"Alright then. See you then, Alvin. You're one HELL of a guardian." Ricardo laughed then hopped off over the railing of the stairs that they were on. Jade sighed as they all left, her hot breath causing Alvin to shiver.

"Let's go now... I'm tired." She stated quietly. Alvin nodded and tried not to let this feeling get the best of him. He carried her all the way home. They stopped at the front door and Alvin let her down.

"I'll meet you in my room." Jade stated and tiredly stood on her tippy toes. She planted a soft and easy going kiss on Alvin's lips, making him falter then freeze. She stared at him, waiting for him to disappear but he didn't seem to have the mind for it. She shrugged and went into her house.

"WHAT THE HELL TOOK YOU SO LONG!? STUPID BITCH!" Her mom yelled in her face. Jade was sent to her room after a crisp slap across the cheek. Jade didn't even flinch. She just trotted up the stairs like it didn't happen. And that seemed to make her mom confused and slightly angrier. When Jade got to her room, Alvin still wasn't there. She raised an eyebrow and opened the shutters of her open window without a screen, she had two large windows in her very tiny room. She looked down at the front door and Alvin still stood there frozen like an idiot.

"Alvin!" She whisper yelled at him. He looked up and caught her eyes. She motioned him up and he was then next to her, holding her from behind. She smiled and closed the window.

"What took you so long huh?" She giggles and went to the bathroom to do her night routine. Alvin followed.

"You kissed me."

"Oh yeah... was it nice?" Jade still seemed to be too tired at the moment to really concentrate on anything and honestly she heard him but wasn't processing it.

"... Yes." Alvin then walked away to the bed. Jade soon finished and joined him. She laid down beside him, curling up against his warm body. She hummed in content and quickly fell into a deep sleep. Alvin watched her sleep all night with a smile on his face.
