"Your innocence." I had that phrase running in continuous circles in my mind, trying to figure out what he meant by that. I am in no way innocent. Maybe I look innocent because I just got my hair cut, or maybe it's since I'm the new girl.
Luke doesn't treat me like I'm new. He acts as if he's known me my whole life, and once again, it'd be different if I were still in America, but I'm still not.
As I made my way down the hall to see Luke, I saw Calum making his way to me. I smiled and waved to him, when he was taken down to the ground by none other than Luke, himself.
"Fuck, man! What's your problem?" Calum shouted at Luke as a trail of blood fell from his forehead.
"Not this one, too, Hood! This one's mine, so piss off!" Luke shouted at Calum harshly, with venom in his mouth.
What's his that Calum's trying to take?
"Guys, what are y'all talking about?" I must've sounded scared to death to speak to them after their outrage, but it didn't really matter how I sounded. All that really mattered was if words really came out of my mouth.
"Luke's trying to take your v-" Luke finished Calum's sentence before he could.
"-isa card! I'm trying to take your Visa card cause I forgot my lunch. Can I use it?" He smiled and took time to breathe and wait for my response.
"Y-yeah you can borrow it." I took out my card and handed it to him and he took the card from my hands and told me thanks before walking away.
Calum looked at me, and whispered "wait until he leaves," so that's what we did. We watched Luke walk out the door of Building 2 to head to the cafeteria.
"What was that all about?" I asked Calum, and he looked outraged. I wanted to ask why, but I want him to tell me everything that just went on.
"Trust no one at this school, you hear me? Trust no one."
I was confused how he wanted me to take that. No one as in Luke? Or literally no one including him?
"Okay... Why?"
"You can't believe everything you hear from everyone." Calum walked away after that and headed to lunch, leaving me alone in the hallways of Building 2, asking myself how the hell did this happen?
