Chapter 13

Madison Montgomery's (The Mom's) P.O.V

I saw Gale fall down with me. She screamed out in pain, she screamed Jason's name, she screamed for help, but no one will here her screams. Only me, and a dying Jason. Her screams are useless.

We hit the bottom, and I looked at Gale. She was trying hard to keep her eyes open. Her face was bruising, blood all over her, her left leg twisted, her arm bleeding from where the bullet hit her.

I touched her face.

"I hate you so much," she whispered, and she slowly closed her eyes.

I heard sirens coming, and I grabbed the gun that laid beside me. One last bullet.

I took the gun, and pointed it at my head.

"I'm not sorry," I whispered, and I put my hand on the trigger.

"Three," I whispered.

"Two."

"O-"

The front door came open, and I watched the police pile in.

"She's got a gun!" One of them yelled.

"One," I finished and pulled the trigger.

 Zayn's P.O.V

I watched Liam cry for about four hours now. He won't stop, and it really hurts to see him like this. Everyone has had their fair share of tears.

"Zayn?"

I looked up to see Sarah running towards me.

"What happened," she asked as I hugged.

"Gale has been shot," I whispered.

I looked at the pain in her face. Her and Gale have become good friends ever since the dance. Gale, Sarah, Micaela, and Eleanor have been really close lately. She cried on my shoulder.

"Shhh," I soothed her,"she wouldn't want you crying."

I wiped the tears off her face, and kissed her.

"Please don't cry," I whispered.

Liam's P.O.V

I watched Zayn play with Sarah's hair whie she fell asleep in his arms. Louis, Eleanor, Sarah, Zayn, Micaela, Niall, and me just waiting to know what happened. Waiting to hear if Gale and Jason will be alright.

I watched an older man walk out through the double doors, I stood up once I saw him. Gale's dad.

He walked over to us, and we all stood up. He then grabbed me and hugged me.

I was shocked for a bit, but I hugged him back. And he broke down crying on my shoulder.

"Are they alright?"

He pulled away from me, and wiped his face.

"We can see her," he said to all of us."Only six people in the room. We don't want to over whelm her. Girls will y'all go home, and get some sleep? I promise she'll be here tomorrow."

The girls nodded their heads, and kissed their boys goodbye.

We all followed Mr. Montgomery into her room. I saw her open her eyes a bit, and she let out a weak smile. I went up to her bed, and hugged her. She's alright.

Gale's P.O.V

I saw the boys walk into the hospital room. I tried to give them a smile, but it hurt so much. I watched Liam make his way towards my bed, and he hugged me.

"Liam, you're kinda hurting me," I croked.

He let go, and gave a small smile. He's been crying, I can tell.

I looked at all the boys. Harry came up to me and gave me flowers, Niall gave my chocolates, Zayn handing me hair supplies, and Louis handing me a basket of carrots.

"Aw thanks guys," I managed to laugh.

"You alright," Liam asked.

"Yeah, sort of," I mumbled.

Then I just realized why exactly I'm alive.

"How's Jason?" I said.

My dad looked at all the guys and said," Boys can y'all leave. I promise you can talk to her when I'm done."

Liam squeezed my hand, and kissed my forehead, and followed the boys out.

"How are you feeling," my dad asked.

"Dad, stop avoiding the question."

"You took quite a fall, and they said that the wound where the gunshot went through will heal up nicely."

"Stop avoiding the damn question," I said.

He looked at me. He grabbed my hand and began to massage it.

"He... He didn't make it, Gale," my dad said as he began to cry.

"YOU'RE LYING," I shouted.

"I really wish I was," he cried.

I began to feel my eyes start to water.

"H- How," I whispered with tears streaming down my face.

"He took a bullet to his chest. They tr- tried their best. They couldn't save him in time."

I stared at the blank beige walls. My brother saved my life. It should've been me who took the bullet. I should've been dead. My big brother, gone...
