Walking into the Wyvern wing of Holby City Hospital, you could tell something was wrong. Everyone seemed to be getting on just fine but their faces all showed an overwhelming sense of sadness. I knew that I needed to try and lighten everyone up and give them some hope but I didn't want to disrespect or do something wrong. Their last CEO had only just resigned after a long time 'steering the ship' so as to speak. It had been 4 months since the shooting and I bet that Ric's trial didn't help with everyone's spirits. I just want everyone to feel slightly less on edge and I will have succeeded.
Walking onto AAU, I felt like the new kid at school. Everyone seemed to be staring even though I'm sure they had much better things to be worrying about. Well maybe not better but certainly bigger problems than the new kid.
'Abigail Tate is that you, here to save the sinking ship are we'
'Serena Campbell, I cannot tell you how nice it is to see a familiar face'
'Feeling like the new kid at a big school are we? Well just remember, you're the boss' I chuckled 'remind me not to come to you if I'm having trouble making new friends'
We walked towards the nurses station where there were several doctors and nurses scattered around. Serena spoke up ' right Donna, Xavier, Sasha, Ric this is Abigail Tate our new CEO, Abigail, this is Nurse Jackson, Dr Duval, Dr Levy and Dr Griffin'
'Hi everyone, just a fleeting visit I'm afraid, can I just talk with you for a minute Ms Campbell, everyone else please go back to your patients, thanks.'
'Is there a problem?' Serena looked concerned
'Not a problem as such but I thought that Mr Griffin wasn't back until next week' things were already going wrong and my first day had hardly even begun yet.
'Oh well I'm afraid that must have been an issue with communication because I had always been told he was starting today, I'm sorry.'
'Oh no Serena don't worry I'll um.. yeah can you please keep an eye on him today and I'll keep him in restricted duties until next week please'
'Well you're the boss but he won't thank you for it'
'Thank you Serena, I'm off to Keller and then Darwin where I'll probably be for most of the day so if you or anyone needs me check Darwin or my office'
'I'll pass the message on and watch out for an angry Ric'
'Will do'
I got in the lift and pushed the button for Keller floor. Well that wasn't a great start but it can't get much worse can it?
A/N: Hey guys I was loosing inspiration for my other fix so I thought that while I try and think of a storyline for there, I would write a fic from Abigail's perspective seeing as people seem to have taken a shining to her now the whole slipknot thing happened.
