The score was tied. Last inning, two outs, bases loaded. The count at 2-3.
Hisoka watched her brother on the mound. She was covered in mud while the rest of her team was completely clean. Every time a ball was hit she would go for it. She didn't want her brother's dream to go up in flames. Not like this.
She took off her hat wiping away the sweat forming in her forehead. One more out, she thought watching her brother wind up. Her eyes went wide. Something was different this time. She was just waiting for the waterworks. This happened too many times for her to deal with but something about the Narushima team was aggravating her.
"Hey, you..the game's over already. Hurry up and get in line!" Hisoka looked at the Umpire who had yelled at Eijun. She inched forward slightly as if knowing what her brother was about to do. Wakana walked up to Eijun only to find him crying.
"S-sorry guys," he sniffled. "I-I wanted to take all of you with me against the whole country..." That kinda caught their team off guard making them tear up as well. Hisoka was neutral which was normal but she tensed up when the other team started to laugh. So this was the feeling she was getting when she was running in. Now it made sense to her. Her hand twitched, having a mind of its own.
"What kind of shit are you spewing now, asshole? Did he really just say that?"
"A nobody from a small town kiddie school taking on the whole country? Oh, too much!"
They kept laughing, not even noticing the menacing aura that appeared around the younger Sawamura. Wakana tried to hold her back but she pushed forward with amazing strength.
"Akagi Jr. High is that a good school?" They all kept laughing. They would be sorry after. "They shouldn't even be in the same league. I figured we were just playing you guys for the laughs." Eijun noticed his sister and smirked. This was one of the things neither of them could stand. "No way we could lose to a team that plays like a bunch of girls, and even has girls on the team. Know your place!"
"No! You know your place!" The sound of Hisoka's slap echoed across the field making the other players look at her in shock. Eijun followed her by slapping the guy as well.
"You want a piece of me?!"
Hisoka's eyes were dark green in anger. Her hand reached for a bat but Wakana moved the bats away from her quickly.
"Wh-what the hell are you doing...? Can't stand losing a game assholes?"
"No...this is for the pride of Akagi Jr. High School!!"
This was when Hisoka took a step back to take a deep breath. "This was a dream we couldn't reach, you didn't have to be assholes and piss all over, but you did so you angered the captain and co-captain of this team," she said stretching her fingers and cracking her knuckles.
"Say what...? Now just wait a-...!"
"Feel my true fight spirit! Oh, you want some too?" Both the twins had a serious look in their eyes as they went on their slapping rampage.
When the dust finally settled that day, it was reported that, including the "friendly fire" that got the Umpire,12 shot were fired in all. 12 shots that neither of the twins regretted at all.
Both Hisoka and Eijun knelt in front of the coach. Neither were listening but that was normal.
"How stupid could you two be? What are you trying to do to me?"
"I know Eijun is stupid but please don't lump me with him," she said giving the coach an annoyed look. He shot back an equally annoyed look. Hisoka knew what she did was wrong but she had no regrets. Those assholes deserved what they got in her opinion. She tuned out the rest of the coach's talk and just kept her head down.
