Hisoka sat beside her brother at the dinner table. Both of them were so out of it after their visit to Seidou, the events that happened there were engraved into their minds. Hisoka hadn't even eaten a bite of her dinner yet. Her eyes were focused on her hands which laid in her lap twitching.
"What's up with them?" Hisoka heard her grandfather say but her eyes never left her hands. "They've been like this ever since they came back from Tokyo, and it is weird to see Hisoka so out of it."
Hisoka let her eyes leave her hands as she picked up her chopsticks with her normal neutral look on her face. She started to eat, tuning out her family until her grandfather yelling and slapping Eijun snapped her out of her daze. Her eyes went wide as she saw how hard Eijun had been slapped. Their grandfather had really put a lot of power behind that slap, more power than usual. Hisoka finished her food quickly before getting up and running up the stairs to Eijun's room, ignoring his yells for help.
Beginning and ending with a slap, Hisoka thought as she sat on Eijun's bed. That's the educational program in this house.
The thought made Hisoka laugh quietly as she picked up the scrapbook she had started at the beginning of her first year of middle school. Eijun usually stole it to look at the pictures because the scrapbook was filled with only good memories. Hisoka didn't allow bad memories to reside in her scrapbook.
Hisoka flipped through the pages for a few minutes before she put it down with a small sigh."What are we going to do?"
Hisoka looked up to see Eijun coming into the room. He was holding his cheek with one hand and a sports magazine in the other hand. Hisoka moved over so that he could sit next to her then watched as he flipped through the magazine, stopping on a page that had a certain catcher on it as the main subject.
"So he is an amazing guy," Eijun said aloud thought Hisoka realized that he didn't know that he was actually speaking. He probably thought that he was just thinking this. "Only a year's difference and he's already been picked up by this magazine..."
"Eijun."
Eijun's head shot up as Hisoka said his name. He looked at his younger twin sister to see her looking at the window. He was about to ask her why she said his name when she started to talk again.
"If you played baseball with that guy, how much better do you think you could get?"
Eijun looked at his sister with wide eyes as the magazine fell from his hands. She had asked him the question that he had been asking himself.
"What are you talking about?" Eijun turned towards his sister. "Leaving this town...for Tokyo? That's crazy!"
Eijun looked down at his sister's hands which were set comfortably on her knees. He couldn't help but see the twitch. She was anxious.
"Before we graduate from junior high, I want to give something to everyone," Eijun muttered as he reached over holding one of his sister's hands. "I was the one that dragged them into the world of baseball."
"We dragged them into it," Hisoka whispered squeezing her brother's hand tightly. "It wasn't just you."
"They weren't even interested in sports, to begin with," Eijun continued as he looked at his sister in the eyes. "And they stuck with us to the end. How...how could I possibly betray them? Betray you?"
Hisoka hugged her brother tightly, her face buried in his chest. Eijun hugged her just as tightly knowing that he couldn't leave her behind since he knew that she would never leave to go to Tokyo voluntarily.
"I can't..."

Hisoka walked behind her brother with her hands stuffed in the pockets of her pants. She shrugged her bag higher up her shoulder with a small sigh. She reached in her bag pulling out a book as she tried to ignore the whispers of kids in other classes. Hisoka was kinda seen as the bad kid instead of her brother because she had gotten in a fight with a transfer student towards the beginning of the year because he kept messing with her.
