I defy the stars; I defy Heaven and Hell.  The laws of the universe say the man I love is lost to me. I say: Watch me save him.

I don't know how much of the events leading up to that night I could tell you if I tried. I know that the day started perfectly. That Shoto held me in his arms and I never wanted to get out of bed, but did. I know that the first half of the payroll goes normally, passing in a blur. The sun is just setting reflecting off the buildings in golden blinding slashes when the end begins.

A static noise catches my attention and Flash answers the call coming from his suit.
"We have to go," he tells me urgently "try to keep up" and with that, he dashes off, with me chasing desperately behind. I can hear the screams as we get closer to the explosions and Flash slows for a moment
"Stay back Angel," he says hastily "there's too much happening I need you to stay out of the way" he then speeds away.

I stumble to a stop uncertain of what to do wondering if I should help despite my orders or just wait here.
Then a flash of green catches my eye and without a second thought, I dash after the lightning. We turn one last corner and I stumble for a second looking stunned at the scene before me.
Iida lies on the ground paralyzed, with the villain Stain standing over him. To his left, another hero leans against the alley wall either paralyzed or dead.

Izuku still covered in green lightning launches his body forward in a way I didn't know he could knocking stain aside and planting himself firmly in front of his friend.

"Don't worry Iida, I'll save you" his voice is strong and a wave of confidence causes me to rush forward behind him kneeling next to Iida.

"Don't worry," I say in a firm voice "I'm going to help you" I press my hands against his body and focus on healing, it only takes a moment but his teeth are still bared in frustration when I look at him.

"I still can't move" he growls and I realize that this must be Stain's quirk and not something I can heal.

"Well, I guess we'll just have to hold him off till you can," I say trying to sound as confident as Izuku.

I then stand moving to the side of the alley where the other Hero is slumped. I can hear Izuku and the villain talking in the background. It only takes moments but when I look back I see Izuku is on the ground too. I pull myself to my feet leaving behind my nervousness and rushing to Izuku's side.

"It only took a scratch," he says frustration creeping into his tone.

"I won't let you hurt them," I turn to the hero killer, my eyes blazing as I put my body between his and my fallen friends.

He turns to meet my eyes and the look in them frightens me for a moment before I harden.

"I guess you'll have to die too then," he says grinning creepily. My wings flare out behind me and I rush forward trying to move the fight away from the people on the ground behind me. I dash between the slashing blades trying to draw it out but he's too quick and I barely last as long as Izuku before I'm on the ground too. He steps forward raising his blade into the air above me and I close my eyes waiting for the end.

I wish I could have seen Shoto one last time... my thought drift reluctantly and then as if there really are gods listening a wave of fire sweeps down the ally and my eyes flicker to see him standing there face blank but eyes flashing dangerously. Shoto.

"You need to give more detail in times like this Midoria," he says calmly as though discussing the weather but even that simple sentence has an ominous feel. A wave of ice bursts from him and we slide behind him as he walks forward. "There is no need to worry. The pro-Hero's will be here soon."
