Chapter Eight: The Benefactor pt. 3

It was almost February and that meant Sydney was going to be born. Emma didn't know where just yet, but when the time comes, she'll know.

Emma was on her way to class, texting and walking, when a hand pulled her away from the hallway and dragged her outside behind the busses.

"What the hell-"

Emma was quickly shushed by Lydia. She looked around to see not only Scott, Stiles, and Lydia, but Kira, and Malia, as well.

"I'm not sharing my basement." Malia said.

"Actually," Lydia said In a matter of fact tone. "It's my basement. And, my mom knows how you tore it up last time."

Stiles butted in protectively. "Alright she's still learning."

"Well we're gonna use the boat house for Liam. It's got support beams we can chain him to one of them." Scott explained.

"But how do we get him out to the lake house if he doesn't trust us?" Kira asked.

"I say if it keeps him from murdering someone we just chloroform the little bastard and throw him in the lake." Stiles suggested.

"Are you out of your mind?" Emma was pissed off.

"I'm in." Malia ignored Emma's comment and joined Stiles' side.

"We're not killing or kidnapping him!" Scott tried to reason.

"Then let's be smarter. We tell him there's a party and invite him." Lydia suggested.

"So you're gonna ask out a freshman?" Stiles asked.

Lydia laughed. "No I'm done with teenage boys. But, we know someone who's the same age as Liam, AND who he also trusts."

All eyes go to Emma as she looked up confused. She shook her head repeatedly, praying it wasn't her job to ask out Liam.

"Oh no."

3 outfits, 5 pairs of shoes, and 2 hairstyles later, Emma emerged from the girls bathroom, Lydia following suit.

"Lydia these shoes are more deadly than your scream. How do I even walk?" Lydia looked up at Emma shocked.

"How do you know I'm a banshee?"

"Oh, your scent. It's a perk of being an angel. I can smell anyone's supernatural identity." Emma explained.

Lydia nodded and looked at Emma up and down. "Liam is going to faint at the sight of you! You look amazing! Now, go downstairs and give it your all."

Emma smiled and walked down the steps carefully as the bell rang. She saw Liam walk out of class, but stopped at the sight of her.

It was like he was looking at an angel. Emma walked down the steps slowly as Liam began drooling.

"Liam?" Mason asked repeatedly.

Liam was too mesmerized by Emma that he didn't see her fall on the last step. He quickly came out of his trance and ran over to her.

"Are you okay?"

I knew I shouldn't have worn the heels. Emma looked up at Liam and smiled shyly. "Yeah! I'm fine. You wanna go to a party tonight?"

Liam looked back at Emma, slightly shocked. He gave her a warm smile and nodded.

"Great! How does 7 sound?" Emma asked as Liam helped her off of the ground.

"Sounds perfect."
