B.M (K.A.R.D) Part 2

You woke up in the morning and headed straight to school. At least this time you're coming in on the first day of school and you won't be the center of attention. You walked the halls, your nose in your schedule the whole time. you placed your stuff in your locker and headed to the first class. Everything was fine. A few people noticed you weren't here last year, you have to hand it to them because some people didn't even notice that. Once lunch arrived, you did your usual routine of just finding the loneliest corner and eating silently then walk around the fields in the back.

you finished and there was apparently another half hour until the next class. you walked out of the cafeteria, something that caught quite a bit of attention as no one was leaving this cafeteria at the moment. you heard jogging footsteps behind you before someone tapped your shoulder.

"Oh, it's you. I didn't know you went to this school," you said to him, as you were met with the same muscly body and brown eyes of the guy from the convenience store.

"Yeah. I guess you're the new girl everyone's talking about," he said back, letting out a small laugh where you could see his nice white teeth.

"I didn't think I'd attract so much attention even arriving on the first day like everyone else," you said

"It's kind of a small town, 'haven't seen you ever before? You're new here no doubt.'" he said mimicking an older man and it was in fact funny.

"Why were you leaving the cafeteria? If you don't mind me asking," he asked, seeming like he could never intrude too much.

"Well I don't usually stay places for long so I take walks outside to pass the time rather than get too connected with people," you told him, a little sadness lacing your voice.

"Well, could I walk with you? If you don't mind of course." he seemed like the most polite and adorable person you've ever spoken to. How could you refuse him?

"Of course. If you could show me the way that'd be great, I haven't really figured that out yet," you tell him shyly and he let out a hearty chuckle which just makes you smile.

He waves off to some of his friends before walking beside you as he brought you to outside.

You two began to talk. Things about this and that. About each other.

"Why did you come with me if you were eating with your friends?" you asked him out of the blue as you just both swung your legs in front of the other walking in circles around the field.

"I wanted to be around you. After I first saw you I really thought you were beautiful and now I know you're not only that but also very funny and interesting," he said, sending what you imagined was a loving glance your way.

"You should probably not get that comfortable with me. I tend to move a lot. I've never really stayed anywhere all that long where I've really been able to start any kind of relationship." you said, sadness lacing every word. you regretted telling him this as you just wanted to be with him no matter what. If you moved didn't matter to me anymore if you could be with him. He really attracted you in and damn were you a fool to let yourself want to fall into his charm. You'd probably have to leave in another 6 months or something like that.

"Weirdly enough I feel like I still want to get to be around you, even if we're not together for long. My mind isn't really focusing on that, more on wanting you," he said, and at that point, he'd stopped walking and hypnotically so have you

You looked up at him into his brown eyes as he stared down straight into yours. "Are you... Are you asking me out?" you asked him, as you were totally awestruck. The beautiful stud you just met a day ago that you probably have a crush on was asking you out.

"Yeah." he said "you didn't really think I'd ask it now but it seems it kinda happened. If it's no you can just say it or if you want to just think about it or-"

"I'll think about it and come back to you." you interrupted him and he nodded.

The bell rung that second and he let out a breath.

"saved by the bell," he said and you laughed as he walked you back inside.

After school, you rushed right home and found your mother in the kitchen unpacking.

"How long are we staying here mom?" you asked her first thing.

"Hello to you too child of mine I love dearly. How was school?" she said facing you with a smile on her face at your weirdness.

"I'll tell you after. First, answer my question. It's important." you said, embraced for the possible bad news.

"Honey. I know I didn't tell you, I was hoping to wait a bit but I guess this is important?" She said and you nodded vigorously so she'd continue. "I'm retiring here honey. We won't be going anywhere. I'll still be writing but I won't be a world writer now. You're stuck here and I hope that question you asked me doesn't follow with how early can we leave." she said.

You laughed as you told her what just happened and that first thing in the morning at school You'd tell him just how you feel.

Morning came, as gracefully as a school morning could come but you brushed past, happiness surging through as you were excited to go tell him your feelings. you rushed through the morning and headed to school in a hurry.

you were by your locker a while, staring into its depth trying to think of the best way to tell him.

"I don't think it's supposed to just float to you if you stare at it long enough." you hear him say from behind.

Your body jerks itself around and you almost smash into the lockers before he catches you and became closer to one another.

"you... I-I was just... Um. Yes. I will go out with you. And um I won't be leaving so, no need to worry about that." you said, blush to turn your cheeks into red tomatoes and he smiled at the view, letting you melt at the sight of his smile.

"Can I kiss you?" he asked "If you don't mind." his gentlemanliness showed and you chuckled at that.

"Of course."
