Essay topic: Social media
For those students that rarely raise their hands because they are too shy can use social networking sites to raise their questions
This promotes discussion as well as surfaces ideas that students are too shy or intimidated to ask
The teachers would be able to contact their students via Facebook or Tweeter. They can also post homework instructions for those students that didn't catch it in class
However, social networking platforms could be a way of distraction for the students
It is also feared that if students rely too much on these sites and don't express themselves enough, they would have the short end of the stick as they would lack the skills of being able to effectively express themselves and connect with others.
This would also expose them to the dangers of the internet (e. g. cyber bullying)
All in all, the internet can be both good and or bad. It's the way that you use it. Whether correctly or not
