Chapter 3

Aella’s POV

I sit and stare in amazement, in front of me sat the biggest she-wolf I’ve ever seen. She is white with brown patches around her eyes, and scattered around her back and legs, her eyes are an orangey-brown. The wolf starts shimmering and soon standing in its place is Aurora, grinning like an idiot.

I roll my eyes at her and get up; walking over to a tree I see something unusual behind me. I look around to discover that in each place I’ve touched the ground a few flowers have sprouted and bloomed. After staring for a bit I continue walking to the tree, once I get to its trunk I flutter my wings and jump. I’m hovering just above the ground, my feet no longer keeping me up. I think about moving towards the largest tree branch and my wings comply by speeding up, I position my body so I propel in the right direction. But instead of going towards the branch I go straight up, where my wings stop working and I fall to the ground.

After a few minutes of getting used to my wings I sit on the branch I was aiming for in the first place. I get comfortable and look out at the clearing through the branches. I’m surprised by the fact that my sight has improved immensely, same with my hearing and sense of smell. Still staring out at the clearing, a thought comes to mind. How the hell are we going to go to school looking like we are?! Or go out in public. Slipping of the branch and flying over to the rock, I sit down trying to think of how we could leave the clearing. Morana floats up to the rock, and sits next to me.

“How are we going to go and do anything if we look like this?” she asks out loud. Aurora seems to hear this and walk over to us.

“We’ll use glamour, like everyone else does these days,” Aurora says matter-of-factly. Morana and I stare at her, confused.

“How do you know that’s what ‘everyone else’ does?” I ask her, not knowing how to do or use glamour, but it this seemed more important. Aurora seemed to hesitate for a second before answering.

“Well you see, when I said I ran away because my family didn’t like me, I was saying the truth, I just didn’t say it was because I was born a human not a were,” Aurora rushed out, looking at the ground when she finished. I looked at her in shock, but recovered quickly.

“Well they are obviously really stupid, because you are a goddess, not a human,” I state rubbing her arm in comfort.

“So back to our original conversation, glamour?” Morana says, shrugging off my glares for her interruption. “How do you use it exactly?”

Sighing Aurora gets up and closes her eyes. “First you have to imagine what you want to look like, remember what you looked like before and hold that in your mind, and them it should just happen, I don’t really know how.” Aurora says her form shimmering, and then she looks just like she did before. “Now you guys try!”
