Okay I'm sorry for this and if you want to skip past this part you can.

I mean it's not like anyone reads my books anyway but in case anyone does.

Lainey and Vincent will have a big part in this story. I'm deciding things as I go along but I know I want them to have further roles as I go.

Also, this story will be told from Arielle's point of view. It kind of defeats the whole purpose of not revealing where she went but this puts a little more context into the story.

Arielle's POV

I wake up to not see Lauren next to me and I get up like normal, not even worrying. Lauren usually wakes up before I do so I brush my teeth and put my hair into a quick bun. The air conditioning nips at my naked bits and I pull on my clothes from the previous night.

Something seems off to me but I just can't put my finger on it.

Then it hits me.

No noises are going on.

Not that I expect like a whole band playing outside, but it's completely unusual that I don't hear anything. I couldn't have gone deaf because I can hear other things.

But nothing at all is going on outside. I look out the window and I don't see anything. No cars. No people. Just houses that look empty and hollow.

I go next door to see if my friend notices this too and I get no answer at her door. Confused as ever, I open the door. Nothing is out of place or gone, just empty.

I pull my phone out of my pocket to check the time. 00:00pm it reads.

"Why hello!" I hear a voice behind me and I shriek in fright. Standing behind me is a tall, lanky figure. She has hollowed out eyes, long fingers, and stringy brown hair that falls out in clumps.

"I'm sorry to frighten you, I haven't seen anyone in so long," she apologizes, smiling with yellow and rotten teeth.

Shocked, I stand and stare at her.

"I'm Yenial. I've heard so much about you! You must be Elleria."

"Excuse me? You must have the wrong person. I'm Arielle."

She laughs, placing a thin hand on my shoulder.

"Honey, you're new here. You just transported fully and I understand you are a bit confused, but Nerual will be so thrilled to see you!"
