We had just finished an excruciating interview and were on on way to some random ice cream shop. It was starting to get dark out when we got out of our tour bus and made our way into the shop. A little bell rang signaling our arrival. After a quick look through the small space I could tell we were alone, thank god. Not that I didn't like our fans or anything but it had been a rough day and I just wanted to finish it with ice cream and not take pictures or sign notebooks.
The boys and I stood away from the counter looking at all the choices on display. There was an endless amount to pick from and seeing as we are all indecisive it could take awhile. I took my time because I guessed the cashier didn't minded seeing as she was drooling over us. I sighed to myself, another fan.
Just as we were all reaching to a final decision, the bell on top of the door rang. A average height brunette walked in, with green eyes, wearing a white summer dress that reached just above her knees. It accented her sun kissed skin and I noticed the boys' mouths drop. She was texting and didn't even acknowledge our presence. "Damn." I heard one of the guys say, I smirked, damn indeed. When she finally looked up she gave us the once over, she started walking our way. I nudged Cole who happened to be beside me and we all shared knowing glances, she was a fan.
"Hey." She said calmly. "Hi" We all replied in unison. I was waiting for her to ask for a picture so I was shocked when she instead asked, "You boys in line?" Wow, I guess she didn't know who we were which was surprising considering every teenage girl in this country was aware of who we were someway or another. Maybe she was one of our haters? I wondered to myself. I realized that she was still waiting for an answer until Joel finally snapped out of it and broke the silence first. "Umm, no you can go ahead." She turned to him, gave him a warm smile and a curt nod of her head before she turned around and made her way to the counter.
From where i was standing I could see the cashier glare at the girl as she moved from one foot to another obviously uncomfortable. I heard her order a scoop of cookie dough ice cream in a cup, guessing that she didn't like cones. "So you like cookie dough?" I heard Cole ask. "Yup." she told him.
"Cool, hey just out of curiosity, don't you know who we are?" I guess he was thinking the same thing as me because I was wondering that just a second ago. "Of course I do." She replied looking over us. Well, I wasn't expecting that answer. This girl, whoever she was, kept shocking me.
"Oh well, are you not a fan?" Aaron asked obviously confused.
"If your asking if I like your music, then sure...I guess...Its ok." She responded while taking her ice cream from the girl behind the counter and then paying her before collecting her change and making her way towards the door. She said a quick 'bye guys' and reached for the door. But before she could leave I opened my mouth for the first time in this whole exchange. "I'm confused why aren't you asking for our autographs and pictures...I mean your the first girl we've met whose ever actually talked to us normally without obsessing over who we were." I said quickly.
She hesitated before shrugging her shoulders and saying "I'm not the type to fan girl. I admit it was shocking to see you guys here but its not like your some gods or anything." I nodded my head as if I understood what she meant and walked towards the counter to place our orders already bored with the whole ordeal. I could hear the other boys continue making conversation with that strange girl while I paid and waited until all the girl behind the counter finished scooping all of our ice cream. When she was done, I gave her a sexy smirk before calling to the boys so they could come get their ice cream, only to see they werent there.
I scowled in confusion and tried my best to carry all the cones while mumbling under my breath as I made my way to the tour bus. While I was walking across the parking lot I noticed some girls making their way towards me so I quickened my pace only to have a cone fall to the floor. "Crap." I grumbled when I realized it was mine. "Just great." With one last glance I continued my way to the bus, opened the door and slammed it shut behind me. "Thanks for leaving with your ice cream guys, because of you mine fell so you better believe your sharing." I said while making my way towards the couch.
"Sorry man but we wanted to show Cleo the tour bus." Seth said as I started handed out the cones. I frowned to myself, who the hell was Cleo? That's when I finally noticed the girl from the ice cream shop in the back talking with the twins. "You brought her here?" I hissed under my breath. What were they thinking?! "Yeah man, shes really cool and super funny." Aaron grinned. Of course she was, I thought sarcastically to myself.
"Well thanks guys, but I really should get going." I heard her say as she made her way to the front of the bus.
"Wait!" Joel demanded. She hesitated as looked up at him expectantly. "The guys and I were wondering if we could have your number?" He continued shyly. My eyes widened in shock. Were they serious? We just met this girl, she could be a crazy fan or working for the paparazzi just waiting for us to give away our dirty secrets. Ok I admit I was being paranoid but could you blame me? She was a total stranger in my book. I was torn from my thoughts when she said "Ughh, I don't think that's such a good idea." She then proceeded to open the door and walk out leaving us in utter shock and silence.
Well thats a first. I mean first she wasnt fan girling and now she didnt want the guys' number?! You know how many girls would kill for that? Mostly everyone. This girl was strangley interesting.
