     You sat at the Apollo table with your half brothers and sisters for breakfast, but your eyes kept flickering to Nico Di Angelo who was sitting alone, picking at his food, it hurt you to see him so unhappy, especially since you knew him when he first came to camp. Happy, excited, enthusiastic... Innocent. It broke your heart to see him like this. After you ate, you walked down to the lake where he was. "Hey, Nico," you smiled and he looked up at you, and nodded in greeting. You sat next to him, putting your feet in the water, "you okay?" you asked and he did nothing but nod.

     you sighed and said, "you need to smile,"

     He rolled his eyes. "Please?" you asked. He shook his head. You just sighed. then Percy pushed you in the water, laughing. But no one knew you couldn't swim. You screamed, trying to reach the surface. Nico yelled at Percy and dove in after you. He swam down to you, you were losing consciousness as he reached you. He grabbed you and pulled you to the surface. You coughed up water as he pulled you out. "Are you okay?" he asked breathlessly. You managed to nod, still coughing up water.

    "What the hell man!" Nico yelled at Percy! "I-I didn't know!" he exclaimed, trying to defend himself. "You could have killed her!" Nico yelled. Percy backed away, intimidated, Nico was radiating anger. You stood up, holding on to the pier. "Nico," you said softly and he turned to you. He handed you a towel and wrapped it around you as you struggled to get your breath. He walked with you over to the shore, making sure you were okay. You sat down, exhausted. Drowning is a very tiring experience. He looked very worried about you. "I'm okay," you managed. He sighed, relieved and gave you a small smile and you grinned, triumphant, "Hey, nico, you just smiled," you chuckled and he curse, and then he kissed you, hard. "Don't scare me like that again," he muttered.

    "Of course not, love," you smirked and kissed him again.
