Jughead's POV 

It's been one month since the Blackhood last struck Riverdale shooting me in the arm and running away into the dark. Not much has changed like you'll expect it to. There is one week left until the homecoming dance. I sit  here in Pop's writing my novel when a familiar raven-haired princess walks in. She comes and sits in the booth right across from me. "Well hello there stranger," Veronica says to me, "Sorry I kinda pushed you out of my life a month ago. I just need to say something really important to you."

I look at her curiously waiting to hear what's so important. "Jughead Jones the third, please don't go away after this." She then leans in for a very passionate kiss. She tastes of vanilla and cherry mixed together. It's the perfect blend of soft yet rough. All these years without realizing, I had a crush on Veronica Lodge.

Veronica's POV

I can't believe I did it. I couldn't believe that I got the courage to kiss Jughead. After I pull away I see a small smirk appear on Jughead's face. "S-S-Sorry," I stutter feeling like a little school girl who just had her first kiss. I guess what they say is true, absence makes the heart grow fonder . "So Veronica, you wanna go to the homecoming with me". 

Those words made my heart skip a beat. In a good not in a bad way. "I would love to go with you to homecoming".

"Well then its a date," He says as he closes his laptop and leaves. I don't know what just happened,but one thing's for sure; it was great. I laid in bed that night thinking about the raven-haired boy.

I wake up the next morning to find a text from Jughead. It read, "hey ronnie you want a ride to school?" 

"Sure :)"

"kool i'll pick you up in an hour"

"Thanks"

"np"

I quickly hop into the shower to feel fresh for the day. After my shower I walk into my closet to pick out my outfit of the day. I settle on a plaid short sleeved dress with my signature pearls. I quickly brush and straighten my hair before checking the time. I look and it's 7:35. Ten more minutes until Jughead picks me up. I hurry downstairs and put on my black heels. I quickly grab a banana before hearing the sound of a motorcycle outside. I grab my backpack and go outside. Jughead looks up from his phone and says, "Hop on Ronnie".

My heart skips eight beats at once when he says 'Ronnie'. He gets on his motorcycle first with me following behind. I hold on to him tightly. 

"Please go slow".

"Oh no no. Going slow is much more dangerous". 

"Well then just drive safe".

"Almost forgot," he hands me his helmet which has a crown painted on it, "just in case".

"Thanks," and with that we were on our way to school. When we got there people immediately stared. 

"I heard she and that serpent are planning to kill us all".

"I heard they fuck in the school bathrooms twice a day".

"What a serpent slut".

Reggie's booming voice interrupts all the whispers. Jughead and I get off his motorcycle. Reggie quickly walks towards us. "Well would you look at that it's the daddy issues club. Veronica, would you care to tell me how it feels being the school's serpent slut". 

"Well look if it isn't the wannabe jock who insults people just to make himself feel better since he has no life".

I hold on tightly onto Jughead's arm as soon as I see Reggie's hands turning to fists knowing all the kids he has beat up and the damage he has done.

Reggie gets closer to Jughead and Jughead pushes me behind him.

"You wanna say that again lil punk".

"Glady. I said 'Well look if it isn't the wannabe jock who insults people just to make himself feel better since he has no life'," Jughead says with a smirk.

Reggie throws a punch at Jughead's face ,but Jughead quickly dodged it leaving Reggie astonished. Jughead then punches Reggie in the face. 

"Oh and don't ever talk about Veronica like that again".

I then kick Reggie in the groin to make sure he learnt his lesson. Reggie then falls down due to the immense pain he feels in his tiny little penis. I then trail behind Jughead leaving the crowd of eyes behind. Jughead and I go to sit down in English when we hear a announcement from Principal Weatherbee. 

"Would Veronica Lodge and Forsythe Pendleton Jones lll come to the dean's office immediately!" Jughead rolls his eyes and reluctantly leaves his desk. I follow behind while he waits for me outside the door. 

"Wow, I am so surprised we are getting called to the dean's office. I wonder what ever could we have possibly done," Jughead says sarcastically. I chuckle which makes Jughead smile. As we walk down the hallway Jughead locks hands with me. I smile as we make our way to our doom. To an outsider we would look insane. Two smiling teenagers as they get into serious trouble,but to us it's perfectly fine because we have each other. It crazy to think that over 8 years ago we were best friends and a month ago we were just strangers. Oh well, time to see what Principal Weatherbee will do to us since he loves Reggie and believes he can do no wrong.

Woahhhh can't believe this chapter has over 900 words without including the note. As you can see some chapters are more in Jughead's point of view (Burgers and Tragedy) while others are more in Veronica's point of view. That is because I feel that some things are just better told in Veronica's eyes and others in Jughead's eyes. Also I don't know why but this whole chapter I just have Veronica following behind Jughead. Guess Jughead is a thicc shishter.

Also would you like longer chapters that need more time to publish (1000+ words) or short ones that need less time to publish (500+ words)? Please answer so I can write accordingly.
