Jughead's POV

"Mr. Jones, Ms. Lodge, please take a seat." 

Reggie sat next to us with a smirk on his face which could only mean that we're going to be in trouble no matter what we said.

"Reggie, would you like to explain to me what happened this morning?"

"Of course Mr. Weatherbee. What happened was I was minding my own business when suddenly Jughead punched me in the face for no reason.  Behind him was Veronica who kicked me in the groin."

"Jughead Jones and Veronica Lodge, explain to me why you would injure Reggie Mantle without cause".

"Actually Principal Weatherbee, what really happened is Reggie tried to punch Jughead and was saying rude stuff about us. All we were doing was defending ourselves."

"Principal Weatherbee, you can't possibly believe southside scum's escort ."

"Jughead, did you get hit by Reggie?"

"No"

"Reggie, did you get hit by Jughead?"

"Yes and you can tell by the bruise on my face left by Jughead."

"Well then its settled. Veronica Lodge you will have detention for 3 days starting today and Jughead Jones you will be suspended 3 days starting now and will have 2 weeks of detention when you return. Understood?" 

"Crystal," I muttered under my breath.

"Now out!" 

I calmly walk down the hallway toward the exit of the school when I hear the clicks of heels behind me.

"Jug..."

I turn to face Veronica.

"Jug, I am so sorry if anything I said there may have got us into even more trouble. That was not my intention. I really-" 

"Ronnie, Its alright. I knew you meant to help".

"I just feel so guilty".

I pull her chin up to mine and peck her on the lips.

"Don't." I whisper into her ear, "You should get back to class before Weatherbee catches you".

"I see you later," I say as I walk through the hallway and out into the school parking lot.

Veronica's POV

My heart skips 8 beats at once as he whispered into my ear and left. His whisper sent shivers down my spine. I gather myself and quickly head back to class. I head into the room and take my seat back. 10 minutes later Reggie walks in with a more beaten up face than before. He walks towards me and says, "You better keep your serpent boyfriend under control". 

What the hell happened after I went back to class. I spend the rest of class thinking of everything that could have happened. The bell rings and I'm forced to go back to reality. After five more boring classes school ends and I know exactly where to go now. I take my phone out and open the maps app. I type in Jughead's address since we went there to work on a project for school. After walking for about 20 minutes I arrive there. Jughead always left the doors open (which I strongly dislike since you never know when someone might rob you) so I open the door and walk in only to be greeted by smoke. I see Jughead on the couch with a blunt in his hands. "The hell Jughead," I exclaim causing him to fall off the couch.

"The fuck Veronica!"

"Care to explain why Reggie walked into class with his face more swollen than before and why he said 'You better keep your serpent boyfriend under control'". Jughead looks up at me with his eyes bloodshot red.  After about 5 seconds he burst out laughing. 

"Reggie. Oh Reggie. He sure is a fun dude. Funny thing he comes up to me in the parking lot and says, 'Imma steal ya gorl' and I'm like, 'Nah dude' and I punch him in the face. I think me and Reggie are best friends now." I roll my eyes playfully at this weirdo.

"But why all of this?"I say pointing to the room around us.

"You pick up a few bad habits from being raised by a gang. Not the best influences. They're all like pow pow Ghoulies be gone pew pew. Did you that gang members have weapons? That's crazy right?" What have I gotten myself into?

Believe it or not I'm not dead. I had my first day of school the 19 which sucks so I've not been writing as much. Expect slower updates until winter break which is December 21. I'm rlly happy that I got into my first choice elective which was publications a.k.a yearbook. All my creativity is going into that book at the moment so yeah. Next chapter is extra juicy involving the blossom twins. Also i am obsessed with ariana grande's new album and blackbear's new song. Again sorry this chapter was so short hope you understand.
