Across the hall, Kian walks back into his apartment just as Corey comes out of the bathroom, his eyes watering. "Dude, you good," he asks Corey.
Corey wipes is eyes, "Hey, I don't know. I just tried to drink a packet of Tobasco sauce for your fucking video, but am I alright? Hmmmmm, let's think about it."
"Okay, well, pull yourself together because I just met the cutest girls who are moving in across the hall. One of them dumped the boxes off her cart, so I went to see if everything was okay, and Dude, let me tell you, I think that girl could be perfect for you," Kian says throwing Corey a towel to wipe his eyes, "I told them that when we were done filming, you, me and Bobby would go help them move in. So, get your shit together, Man!"
The boys finish filming their Eat it or Wear it Challenge and quickly shower. Once Corey comes out of the bathroom, Kian throws a pair of shoes on and takes off down the hall with Corey following behind. Kian bangs on Bobby's front door. "Bobbaaaaaayyyyy! Bobby, open up man," he shouts through the door.
The door opens, and Bobby looks around anywhere but at Kian and Corey, "Hello?"
"Dude, you have to come with us right now," Kian says bouncing up and down a bit.
"Dude, why," Bobby asks a bit apprehensive.
"Because, apparently, Kian met some sort of goddesses that are moving in across the hall from him, and he recruited us to help them build furniture and shit," Corey says with an eye roll.
"Well excuse me for trying to hook us up with some pretty girls," Kian says with his hands up, "You're still coming, so it's clearly not too much of an inconvenience. So, Bobby, you in? There's a girl who I think would be perfect for you."
"Well, if you say they need help, yeah, lets go," Bobby says grabbing his denim jacket.
They all walk the forty-seven steps to our door and Kian knocks, while Bobby and Corey stand behind him on either side, looking kind of like a boy band. I hear a knock and put down the pieces of the bookcase or whatever I'm building just as I hear another knock.
"Guys, you hear that? Do you think it's them," I ask as I get up and walk to the door while the girls follow behind me. I open the door revealing the boys. Kian's standing there smiling goofily. Bobby looks at all of us, taking in the situation, and Corey's jaw drops a bit before he realizes and quickly pulls himself together with a slight shake of his head.
"Hey Kian! Thanks for coming by to help," Everleigh says, pulling me out of the way and opening the door giving the boys space to come inside.
I manage to pull myself together and jump in, "Yes, thank you, and thank you for bringing some extra muscle. I'm Gracelynn, this is Everleigh, and that over there is Harper."
"No problem! We're happy to help," Bobby says, "I'm Bobby, and this is Corey. I live just down the hall, and this guy lives in the other wing of the building."
"Great, now that we've covered the basics, where do you want us to start," Kian asks eagerly.
"You sound awfully excited for someone who hates manual labor, and will probably not do a single thing tonight," Corey says.
"Shut up, Idiot," Kian retorts before turning back to us.
I've found my spot again back at the bookcase. I scrunch my nose as I stare intently at the directions before announcing, "Well, I'm trying to build this bookcase, or maybe it's a desk, could be a dining room table? Anyway, I'm trying to build this," I point emphatically at the pile of hardware splayed in front of me, "but at this point I think NASA might have a better shot at this thing."
Corey walks over and sits next to me. "Here, let me see if I can make any sense of it," he says taking the directions from me, "Well, first, the directions would probably be easier to understand if you were looking at the English side, not the Swedish side."
"I thought they only came in Swedish, that's why I was using the pictures," I try to defend myself.
Corey clears his throat, "Step one, screw piece A2, to side B1." I follow his directions and with his help, the bookcase is built in an hour.
Kian takes Everleigh to her room and helps her assemble her bed frame,as well as her night stands and entertainment stand. Bobby goes with Harper and together they build the furniture in her room. After Corey and I finish building the things that belong in my room, we all join each other back in the living room. The boys help us set up our entertainment system in the living room, as well as position the couch and chairs around it. Kian starts building the dining room table, while Bobby and Corey work on the chairs. The three of us sit back and watch the guys as they joke and make fun of each others shoddy craftsmanship.
