We wake up in the morning and Harper offers to make us breakfast. We very soon after, hear a knocking on the door. I get up and open it to reveal Kian standing there with a sheepish grin. "Woah, look who's up before lunch," I say stepping aside to let him in, "You want some breakfast? Harper is an amazing cook."

"It's literally just some eggs and pancakes," she calls from the kitchen.

"Yes, but to a girl who can barely put some sort of frozen meal into the oven to warm it up without burning it, that's cooking," I say as I walk back to my plate at the table.

"I will never turn down food," Kian says as Harper slides a plate in front of him, "So what are you guys doing today," He asks with a mouth full of food.

"Ummmm. I don't think we've thought that far ahead," Everleigh says sliding him a napkin.

"I mean, I was probably just going to clean and get organized," Harper says.

"And I was going to watch Netflix and ignore all my responsibilities until something came up," I say with an uneasy chuckle.

"Well how about you and I go out like we talked about," Kian says to Everleigh with a smirk and a flick of his eyebrow.

"Uh, what did you have in mind," Ev asks a bit nervously. From behind Kian, at the sink, I turn around and shoot her a look trying to tell her to relax.

"Well how would you feel about receiving the Lawley tour of Los Angeles," he asks.

Everleigh looks at me briefly, and I give her a quick nod of reassurance. "That sounds like fun," she says as she finishes her last bite of pancakes, "Give me a half hour to finish getting ready, and I'll pop over to your place, unless you just want to hang out here."

"I don't mind waiting," Kian says pulling up a spot on the couch as Everleigh walks to her room to shower and get ready.

I pull out my laptop and pop an earbud in, prepping to scroll and begin the Great Netflix Debate. I scroll for a few minutes before Kian pipes up, "You know you can watch whatever you're watching on the TV, right?"

"Oh, uh, yeah. I just come from a house where we only had one TV, and I didn't want to disturb anyone, so I always just watched on my computer," I explain, and probably overshare.

"Sure," he says, "So what are you watching anyway?"

"Nothing yet," I explain, "I always end up scrolling for like 20 minutes trying to decide what to commit to. Right now, I'm debating between watching all of Friends . . . again, or starting Orange is the New Black . . . yes, I know I'm late on that one, sue me. But then again, while Evil Genius tripped me out the first time because it was in my home town, it was super interesting and I kind of want to watch that again, too. See, this is the cycle I always find myself stuck in."

"Woah. Wait. Evil Genius happened in your town," Kian asks.

"Yep, I hail from the land of record breaking, tundra-like winters and pizza bombers. Welcome to Erie, we hope you enjoy your stay," I say.

"That story was crazy," he says a bit shocked, "I can't believe you lived there."

"Yep, I was 8 when it all went down, so I don't remember much, but identifying all the locations in the documentary was kind of spooky," I say with a small shudder.

"I bet," he says as Everleigh walks out looking absolutely adorable, "I personally would watch Orange is the New Black, but you can't go wrong with Friends either."

"Thanks for the tip. Have fun you crazy kids," I say with a wink, "Be safe, and Kian, if you hurt her, I'll kill you."

"Thanks Mom," Everleigh says as they both walk out the door.
