After dinner we head back to our place. Kian tells us he'll be right back and jogs out our door. The five of us look at each other a bit confused. Kian comes back with what looks like a Nintendo Switch and a game.
"Who's down for Mario Kart," Kian asks, bouncing up and down a bit.
"You already know you're going down," Corey taunts.
"Well, I hope you're both prepared for me to wipe the floor with you boys as I come in dead last every time," I say with a small giggle.
"Yeah, Gracie is the best at video games. It's amazing how she manages to lose so fast every single time," Everleigh says elbowing me in the ribs.
"I think I'm going to bake some cookies. Y'all go ahead and play," Harper says.
Bobby pulls out his camera and intros, "Alright so we're over here at the girls place." He whips the camera to me, "This is Gracelynn."
"Oh, ummmm, hi," I say looking right at the lens.
"Did you just look at my audience," he teases.
"Right, sorry, I'm new at this, Dude," I tease back.
"Wow. Wise words from Grace, everybody. This here is Everleigh," he says as he whips the camera toward Ev.
"What's up everybody," she says with a wink.
"And this . . ." Bobby jogs to the kitchen, "is Harper. The girls just moved in across the hall from Kian. I guess there's some super intense Mario Kart tournament going on between Corey, Kian, Grace, and Everleigh. Harper's over here baking cookies, so the building might burn down. Stay tuned and subscribe for more."
"Hey! I'll have you know, I am an amazing baker," Harper protests.
Meanwhile, over on our couch, shouts erupt. "Dude! What the hell," Kian shouts.
"Well, I'm sooooooryyyy I had a shell and you didn't. Suck it up bitch," Corey taunts.
"I'm doing just fine in last place," I say as I flip my hair.
"Ha! Take that, losers! Everleigh O'Neil coming from behind! Wassup! See ya later, dudes," Ev shouts as she flies into first place.
"Dammit! What just happened," Kian exclaims.
"I just whooped your asses. That's what just happened," Ev says sticking out her tongue.
"Oh, look! I came in dead last! See, I told you I'm the best," I joke.
Bobby whips out his camera again, "Okay, so it turns out Everleigh just hustled the guys over here, and she is actually the best Mario Kart player I've ever seen. She demolished Kian and Corey, and as predicted Gracelynn came in dead last. I'll keep you updated as the tournament unfolds. Like and subscribe for more," Bobby winks, "In the meantime, let's go see how those cookies are coming. The smoke alarms haven't gone off yet so, so far so good."
"Just you wait! They're going to be delicious," Harper says with her hands on her hips before she returns to mixing the batter.
Bobby jogs back over to us, where we are once again engaged in a heated Mario Kart race. As I come in dead last again, I announce, "I may absolutely suck at any and all video games, but I will out quote you in Ace Ventura any day!"
"Oh, I highly doubt that," Bobby knits his brows together.
"Yeah, I believe you have seen the many Jim Carry videos Bobby and I have competed in," Kian says.
"And I believe you underestimate my family's love for Mr. Ventura," I say doing the Ace walk to the DVD player, "You ready to put this to the test Luh-hoo-zuh-hur?"
"Alllllllllllrighty then," Kian says with an eyebrow wiggle.
Everleigh and Corey exchange a look. "Here we go," they both say with an eye roll, as we start the movie, Kian and I both reciting nearly every line.
We finish the movie and the boys decide to call it a night after we munch on a few of Harper's cookies. Bobby pulls out his camera, "Alright, so after a very intense Mario Kart tournament, Everleigh pulled out the win. It has also been confirmed that Gracie is quite nearly a pro at quoting Ace Ventura, and Harper did not, in fact, burn down the building and her cookies were delicious. But I think that's going to wrap up today's video. We're all pretty tired so were gonna head home and go to bed. Thanks for watching, be sure to give this video a thumbs up and subscribe. And hey you're looking good today. Hehhhhh." He covers the lens and stops recording. The guys leave and we all chat and process the events of the day before turning in for the night.
