The Rebound

Chapter Six ; The Recovery

It was about a few hours later and it was officially morning. (9 am)
Jared: I walked into Aubry's room to see her staring out the window from her bed. I ran over to her and kissed her forehead. "Aubry, how do you feel?!"

Aubry: "Weak."

Jared: "I would want you to stay here for at least a good month or two so that you could come home with me so that i can take care of you and our baby."

Aubry: "I believe it's our baby." "I just know it is."

Jared: I just smiled brightly and kissed her head for a few seconds. "I'm sorry. But... i'm really glad that you did survive the night."

Aubry: I turned over to look at his restless face and i try to lift my arm to put my hand on his cheek. He ended up softly taking my hand and putting it on his face. I could feel his cheeks were a little wet. His eyes were bloodshot and looked extremely tired.

Aubry: "You need sleep. Please go home and take care of yourself first. Please. You can come back when you're feeling better."

Jared: "No. i'm not leaving your
side Ms. Langdon. Not ever again." A tiny tear shed, falling down my nose.

Aubry: "Well you're gonna have to let me pee alone sooner or later Jer." I try to slightly chuckle. "Jesus my head hurts so damn bad."

Jared: "Can i at least stay here and sleep? I could sleep on the recliner. It looks comfy enough." "I'll also get the nurse to give you some more meds for the pain."

Aubry: "Of course you can." I put my hand on his slowly. I smiled weakly"

Narrator: They both slept more of the day away. Every few hours, Jared got breakfast, lunch, and dinner for her and some snacks in between. To this point, she meant the world to him. Even if it was one night. But that one night, brought a new life to the both of them. A new, little angel was brought into this world. Was it for the better? Or for the worse?

2 months passed and Aubry was able to walk again and do things by herself. She was still recovering but she was doing better than before. Aubry is now 4 months pregnant and is already bursting with her little bundle of joy inside her stomach.

Jared: I held her hand as we strolled through the hospital halls. "Hey did you wanna get back to your room and order some food hun?"

Aubry: "That would be nice, Thanks." I smiled brightly and kissed his hand that was linked to mine.

Aubry stops and looks straight ahead of her. She went behind Jared and held his bulky, muscular arm.

Jared: I saw exactly what she saw. "Don't you come near us, or i will beat the snots out of you."

Jeffery: I walk toward Aubry and Jared and look at them directly. "So hows my child doing Bree?"

Aubry: "Dont ever call me that."

Jeffery: "Aw, you seemed to like it when i was in bed with you." I smirked.

Jared: I took Aubry off my arm and walked towards Jeffery. "Who the fuck do you think you are? Huh? Some douche bag who claims that Aubry is carrying your child. It's bullshit because it's actually MINE."

Jeffery punched Jared so damn hard that he stumbled a bit.

Jared: "That all you got?" "Meet me outside. I'll be waiting." I put Aubry in her room and kissed her cheek. "I promise you, i will kick his ass for doing this to you."

Jared: I walked out of her room and hand gestured Jeffery to run after me.

The both of them went outside and started having a huge fist fight. Jareds making Jeffery's mouth bleed and Jeffery is making Jared's face bruised.

Jared glanced over to his right for one second and saw Aubry trying to run out with her white, medical gown on. She ran in between the boys thinking that it would help stop.

Jared stepped back and witnessed Jeffery sock Aubry in the face, making her bleed and fall backwards.

Jared: "I don't know what i'm going to do. Kill him? Or make him pass out with so many god damn punches." I tackled him to the ground, beating the living hell out of him. His eyes were swollen and a tooth had jumped out of his mouth.

Jared ran over to Aubry and picked her up to carry her inside to get some help. She actually passed out from the hit 10 seconds after it happened. She was knocked out.

2 hours later, Jared was sleeping on the tan, recliner and Aubry had finally awakened.

Aubry: "J-Jared.." I try and say with my raspy, whispered voice.

Jared: I woke up from something small hitting my face, It was her. I ran over and kissed the top of her head. "Baby are you okay? Do you feel better? I told the security guards never to let him back in again. You're safer now."

Aubry: "Thank god. I do feel better... just stiff and my face is pulsing."

Jared: "Are you hungry? I can get you something." "Did you want me to go somewhere and get something you want?"

Aubry: I giggled a bit. "First off, i want Wendy's. But... i want to see your dog. Duke."

Jared: "I'll try my hardest darling." I smiled at her gorgeous but beaten face. I kissed her cheek and left to go to my house.

An hour passed and Jared walked into Aubry's room with food and a surprise...

Aubry: "Omg! Hi Duke!!!!" I patted on my bed and he jumped up, laying beside me.

Jared: "Annnnnnd heres your Wendy's Mademoiselle." I handed her the bag and gave her a goofy smile.

Aubry: "Jared.."

Jared: "What's wrong??? Is it the wrong order? Did i do something?"

Aubry: "Come here." He walked slowly towards me and i grabbed his shirt and kissed him spontaneously. "Jared.. I- I love you." I put his hand on my large tummy and he just starred at me.

Jared: "What did she just say?!"
