CHAPTER SIX– Smiles and Kisses
BROKEN ME
“WE’RE ENGAGED!” I excitedly exclaimed when I saw Dave on the airport lobby.
He stared and smiled at our entwined fingers, stopping at the huge stone comfortably resting on my left ring finger.
“I’m gland he finally grow his balls to ask you to be tied on his sorry ass.” Alex just laughed and slapped Dave’s back and do the weird manly hug. My face scrunched up in disgust.
Dave choke out a booming laughed at my face “What?!”
“You’re cute” said he while looking longingly at me.
“I know. Now come you two I’m starving.” I skipped on my steps while making my way towards Dave’s car.

When we broke the news on his family I couldn’t explain the happiness that overflowed deep inside me. Their joy and acceptance means a lot to me that suddenly I felt complete in my life yet deep down I know that everything is just a cruel joke.
‘I’m going to marry Alex.’ The reality hasn’t really sink in as the events from three days ago flashed through my mind. Then, there’s Dave. Suddenly the idea of marrying Alex seemed far away when I remembered the tortured look on Dave’s face at our arrival from Italy.
“Hey, are you okay?” a pair of arms snaked around on my waist as Alex hug me from the back while his chin resting on my shoulder.
“Yeah, I just felt tired. Probably from our long trip three days ago and the flurry of events that came next after that.” He peeked on my cheek and tightened his hold.
“Overwhelming, eh?” I intertwined our hands and nodded my head
“Come, you can rest in my old room.”
“Okay.”
We slowly trudged upstairs while his much bigger hand enveloped my smaller one.
“Here, wear this. I’ll get you back later.” He handed me an old t-shirt and boxers while gesturing the bathroom.
“Wait, your leaving?”
“Yeah, sorry I didn’t tell you earlier but something very important came up in the office.”
“Be careful, okay?”
“Of course. Be back later.” He leaned down on me as he ravished my already red plump lips.
“Now, sleep you’ll surely need it for later.” He peeked on my lips one last time before walking out of the door.
“Perv.”
