Kate's POV
It's been a couple weeks since my near death experience and I decided to go to the mall. After walking around and picking up a new Motionless in White shirt I go upstairs to get something to drink. The Pretzel Palace is the closest thing to me so I get in line. I notice the girls in front of me are giggling. If Liz were with me we'd butt into the conversation just to shut them up. But why are they so giggly? When they leave my question is answered. I'm greeted with spikey hair and dimples.
"Welcome to Pretzel Palace what can I get... Kate?"
I look at him. "Jaime."
"It is you! I see you haven't jumped into any traffic being that you're here."
I didn't know he works at Pretzel Palace... Must make note of this.
I laugh. "Thanks Jaime."
"So what can I get you?"
"Medium lemonade."
"Two sixty-four"
"But medium is usually three-"
"Two sixty-four." he emphasizes with a grin and a wink.
"Oh... I'm stupid." I laugh as I hand him the money. "Thanks."
"No problem." he grins as he hands me my change.
I wait for my drink and Jaime brings it over himself and hands it to me.
"Have a nice day." he smiles.
"You too."
"It just got a lot better actually." he grins.
I walk away sipping my lemonade and while I'm walking to catch the bus home something about my blue and yellow cup catches my eye. He wrote on it.
"Kate, let's hang out sometime, text me when you're free. :) -Jaime"
He also left his number... Oh my god this is just like the movies... I got home and found my laptop covered in a bunch of band tees on top of my bed. I push the power button and get Liz on webcam.
"Hey bitch!" she smiles.
"I went to the mall today..."
"This is a newsflash? What did you buy? Another Motionless in White tee?" she asks.
"Actually I did. But guess who I saw..."
"Who?"
"Jaime. The guy who saved my life a couple weeks ago!" I yell.
"Did you get his number this time?!"
I show her my cup.
"ITS JUST LIKE THE MOVIES!" she squeals. "Have you texted him yet? Wait... He works at Pretzel Palace!?"
"I honestly didn't know until I went today." I explain.
"Well text him woman!" she yells.
"No!"
"Why?!" she asks.
"Because there's a two day rule you ass! I can't sound too eager!" I explain.
She looks at me, I can feel her hazel eyes burning holes into me.
"Don't give me that look." I warn.
"Well you better text him." She snaps. "I mean it Kateycat."
"I will Lizzybear."
After a couple of days I decided to text Jaime. He gave me his address so that I can go to band practice. Apparently he has a band. I asked if I could bring a friend, now Liz is with me and we're riding our bikes down to his place. It's awkward because he's just about four blocks away. The garage door is wide open and a sea of cords and pedals cover the floor. Posters of Playboy Bunnies and bands cover the walls. A couch is set up to the side and I see four boys and a girl.
