Vic's POV

I sat in the van for a moment. My seat belt on by the keys jingled in my shaking hand. I can't go on like this. I should talk to Hime Time. I drive to his house instead of going straight into the battle zone. I'm not ready to say good bye to my balls yet... His mom answers.

"Hey Vic. I don't remember there being practice today..."

"No, is Jaime here? I need his opinion on a song I'm working on."

"He's in his room. You know how to get there."

"Thanks Mrs. Preciado." I smile as I head for the stairs.

I could hear Jaime talking on the phone. I stood at the door and listened.

"Green Day? New or old?! I'd have to go with their older stuff.... Kate you're so weird! Old Green Day is better than new Green Day! Hands down. You can't like both without liking one more! There is no equality!!"

He's talking to Kate?! Why is he talking to Kate?! Didn't she just break up with Tony?! Maybe he called her... Was I the only one cheating? I knock.

"Hold on Kate, someone's at the door. Who is it?" Jaime asks.

"Vic..." I answer.

"Hey Kate, I gotta go... Kate? Hello?"

She must've heard that I'm here... Jaime opens the door and smiles.

"'Sup ese?"

"I need your help man." I admit.

I might as well just cut to the chase.

"Did you get Shay pregnant? Are we expecting Satan to have small brown spawn..."

"No... Can I tell you something you promise not to tell anyone..."

"Vic... Did you rob a bank?" he asks. "I don't think I should know... You know I don't do well when I lie..."

"No. I've been cheating on Shay with..."

"With?" he asked as he sat on his bed and I took the desk chair.

"With Liz."

"Are you serious?!" he asks.

I nod.

"Since when?!"

"Since... Well... Officially, since the night of the Wilson party..."

"Dude... That's like... Two or three months... Holy bananas..."

"And I guess she feels guilty so when I'm gone she vents to Kate and that caused Tony and Kate to break up today... Tony got sick of Kate blowing him off to comfort Liz and had it. Well Kate stormed over and now her and Liz are fighting and Liz says she wants nothing to do with me until I break up with Shay..."

"So you came here? You crazy bastard I don't want a target on my back! I was just talking to Kate. She seems fine..."

"No, she yelled at me for torturing Liz the way I am..."

"Well you kind of are. You can't show her off in public, you can't take her out... You have to treat her like a friend near others and then she gets to watch you with Shay... It isn't fair to her ya know?"

I nod. "I realize that now... I thought I could balance the two..."

"No man is a successful cheater... What did you guys do if you don't mind me asking..." He smiles.

"Ate pizza and watched movies... And made out."

"FOR THREE MONTHS?! HOW DOES SHE NOT HATE YOU NOW?!"
