Chapter 3 - "Come At Me Beyonce"

Max's POV
Riiiiiiiiiiinnnnggggg!!!! The sound of the last bell wakes my head up from daydreaming. As I stuff my books in my bag I think about this afternoon. Do I really have it in me to beat Chase? Of course I can he will regret hurting my friends.

Nicky and Emma spot me as I walk out of the classroom.

"are you still sure you want to do this?" Emma's worried voice starts

"yeah, you don't have to go you know" Nicky continues.

"guys it's going to be OK. I'll just walk in there beat his ass and walk out. It's not that hard I've beaten people up since I was a creation in a diaper." I say to lighten the mood and we all laugh.

Als we walk to the gym some students say "thank you" and "I'm rooting for you". Apparently me speaking up against the big wolf made a big impression.

The gym wasn't crowded. All the bad boys the Queen Bee and her minions and some other students as well Mr. Brown. Why Mr. Brown was here I will never know.

As soon as we walk in everyone get quiet and looks my way. Chase stands in the middle and beckons me to come over. Making my way toward the middle still having all eyes on me I go to stand in front of Chase.

"so you actually came, I'm surprised" he starts

"oh, don't think I'd miss an opportunity to beat someone. Especially you" I say without trying to hide my excitement.

He shrugs. "so you really think you can beat me huh. Well then what are the rules?"

"Rule 1. Play fair so no moves like under the belt or tickling.
Rule 2. No wolf.
Rule 3. No crying when you lose.
That's it. Do you agree?" I state

"agreed, now are you ready little girl?" he says

"come at me Beyoncé" I answer

"what's with you and crazy sentences?" He asks confused

"I don't know. What's with you and being ugly, little Boy" I taunt him and oohs and aaahs are heard and some of Chase's friends are snickering.

This must have set something loose because Chase's smirk disappears, his eyes start to glow and he takes a fighting stance.

"well guess we should start the ass whooping." I say as I ready myself als well.

Nicky and Emma scream some chears at me, but I'm to much in "da zone" right now.

Fully focusing my attention one the fight of a lifetime. I wait for him to make a move since he still looks angry and might do something reckless. Wow guess it's my lucky day. Chase charges forward and tries to hit a punch on my face, but thanks to my reflects I dodge and kick his butt lightly making him stumble. Once again I can't help but laugh at someone almost falling on his face.

Damn I should really stop doing that.

I wait for him to get back up again. This time I run at him, with a speedy punch in his stomach. He doubles over but recovers fast, so fast that I can't see him swinging his fist to my face. It hits me hard and I fall on the ground while everyone has gone silent.

I can hear my heartbeat in my face and some vague footsteps coming  closer. My vision is blurry but I feel my face healing thanks to my werewolf powers.

A shadow  kneels beside me and I hear Chase say: "see I told you she wouldn't stand a chance."

Everything comes back to me and suddenly I trow a punch right on his left cheek. I get up with the speed of light grab his still recovering head and bring it down while my knee goes to his chest hitting his ribs.

Chace falls to the ground grunting of pain. I hit another punch on his right cheek this time knocking him out.

As I go to stand up tall again i suddenly feel a couple of arms around me. When I turn around I see Nicky and Emma with smiles on their faces but also teary eyes.

Soon they let go of me and Nicky hits me softly on my shoulder as to not hurt me even more. "don't you ever and I really mean EVER, scare us like that EVER again!" she says smiling even more.

I hear a groan coming from behind me. As I look over my shoulder I spot Chase on the ground with one of his friends, Jacob if I remember correctly, trying to help him up.

A grin finds its way on my lips when I walk over to him and give him my hand. He takes it and I pull him up.

"so who won big boy?" I say

Chase's face it still in shock from what just happened.

"Come on don't be shy we won't laugh at you" I tease

"fine you win" he says. "but only because I didn't want to hit you that hard"

I can't contain my laughter any longer. As I'm doubling over he looks at me confused.

"o God.. You.. Haha.. You didn't want to hit a girl." by now I needed to lean on Emma for support, everyone around us has a confused expression on their face.

"haha.. That's so.. So much bull.. Haha.. You almost K.O'd me man" at this point Nicky is also clinging to Emma not being able to stop laughing.

Suddenly I stop laughing and look Chase straight in the eyes and say: "I believe I've proven myself, so don't ever touch my friends ever again."

I turn and walk away but before I'm out of the gym I look at Chase again and tell him dead serious: "I expect to have my second part of the deal tomorrow. And the food better be good or I will come after you." everybody still looking shocked about what exactly just happened.

"I'll be taking my leave now ladies and gentlemen. Bye little Alpha Boy." I state as I bow and leave the gym.

1 hour 30 minutes and lots of ice later

"finally" I sigh. "thanks guys I can feel the left side of my face again.

We went to my house after the fight where Nicky and Emma helped treating my wounds.

The left side of my face was still a little blue but it'll fade away soon enough.

"no worries it's nothing if you look at what you have done for us" Emma says while holding some ice against my face

"well.. I actually did it for the food" I say

"you wouldn't!" Emma says shocked

I look her in the eye. "you sure about that? I mean you've known me for how long now?"

"you wouldn't because you love us way to much" Nicky answers me.

"but it's food though" I say with a grin on my face

"You know what let's have a sleepover today. It looks like we need some bonding experiences to be more important then food" Nicky says to Emma.

Even after me disagreeing numerous of times the girls dicided that they would sleep over tonight. So that will be some horror movies and a lot of food.

Some horror movies, a scared Em and a lot of food later

Nic and Em are sleeping but I just can't seem to join them in the dream realm. There are still some things I worry about.

Like what kind of food am I going to get tomorrow for winning the fight. What if the amount isn't enough. Nevermind there is never enough Food for me.

Sigh

I know I shouldn't think this but I hit Chase with some nasty blows today. He will probably feel them for some days. Well I guess he will come whining tomorrow.

With that out of my mind I slowly drift away.
